If a Robinhood Chain transaction is pending, unconfirmed, or failed, first check its status in Robinhood Wallet → Activity, then verify the transaction ID or wallet address in the Robinhood Chain explorer, Blockscout. Do not submit the same trade again while the wallet shows it as processing.
A pending transaction can reflect network volume, confirmation speed, or transaction size. A failed action may instead involve device connectivity, an internal signing error, or a decentralized-exchange problem. The right next step depends on the state shown in the wallet and on whether you were transferring, swapping, or signing a transaction.

Start with the status, not the account balance
Robinhood Chain is a self-custody network, so the transaction record for a Chain transfer or swap is in Robinhood Wallet and on the network—not in the ordinary Robinhood brokerage or Robinhood Crypto account screens. Robinhood describes Chain as independent from those accounts.

- Open Robinhood Wallet and select Activity. Find the transfer, swap, or other action that is showing a problem.
- Copy the transaction ID (also called the transaction hash) if one is available. If the wallet has not produced an ID, copy the wallet address instead.
- Search Blockscout, the Robinhood Chain explorer. Its search can use a transaction ID, wallet address, block, or token.
- Compare the explorer result with the wallet. Check the status, sender and recipient addresses, amount, token, and network.
- Keep the result for your records. A transaction ID and screenshot make support troubleshooting much faster.
If an action is absent from Activity and there is no transaction ID, it may not have been submitted to the network. Check the wallet’s current activity and connection before attempting a new action; do not assume that a missing entry means the first attempt definitely failed.

What “pending,” “unconfirmed,” and “failed” mean
Pending or unconfirmed
Pending means the wallet has not recorded a final confirmation for the transaction. “Unconfirmed” is commonly used for the same practical situation: the network has not included or finalized the transaction in the way the wallet expects.
Robinhood’s Wallet FAQ states: “Transactions may be pending or unconfirmed because of the volume of transactions, confirmation speed, and transaction size for that network.” Those variables can change while you wait, so a pending label does not by itself prove that the recipient address, token, or amount is wrong.
Failed
Failed means the network or the application did not complete the requested operation. The failure can occur while the wallet is signing, while a transaction is being delivered, or inside a decentralized exchange used for a swap. A failed transaction is different from a transaction that is still processing: the wallet has reached a terminal failure state, although the exact cause still needs to be identified.

A transaction that does not appear in Activity may not have been created, may be associated with a different wallet address, or may be delayed by an app or connection problem. Search the explorer by the address you actually used. If the explorer has no matching transaction, record that result before contacting support rather than repeatedly submitting the same action.

If the transaction is still pending
Do not create a duplicate
While Robinhood Wallet shows the action as processing, leave it alone. Robinhood’s troubleshooting guidance says, “Do not attempt to re-submit the same trade while it is processing.” A second submission can create a separate transaction, potentially causing two transfers or two swaps if both eventually execute.
There is no universal completion time
Robinhood’s reviewed Wallet guidance does not provide one guaranteed confirmation time for every Robinhood Chain transaction. The wait can vary with network transaction volume, confirmation speed, and transaction size. Treat any fixed estimate found elsewhere as context for a particular network condition, not as a promise for your transaction.
Use the explorer to distinguish delay from completion
Wallet labels can lag behind the network. If Blockscout shows the transaction as successful, save the explorer record and allow the wallet to refresh. If the explorer shows it as pending, the network has not finalized it. If there is no explorer record at all, the action may not have been broadcast, and support may need to inspect the wallet state.

Do not “fix” a pending transaction by buying gas
Adding ETH can fund a future transaction, but it does not cancel, accelerate, or repair an already pending transaction. First establish the on-chain status. Only consider the gas balance if you later need to submit a new transaction after the original is no longer processing.

If the transaction failed
Check for a signing failure
Signing is the step in which the wallet authorizes the transaction with the device. Robinhood identifies device connectivity loss and an internal wallet error as possible reasons an action can fail during signing.
- Confirm that the phone or computer has a stable internet connection.
- Reopen Robinhood Wallet and check whether the failed action is still listed as processing or is definitively marked failed.
- If it is failed and the connection is working, retry the action once from the wallet.
- Before confirming, verify the recipient address, token, amount, and network.
Retrying is appropriate for a completed signing failure. It is not the same as submitting a duplicate while the original action remains processing.
Check for a failed swap
A swap can fail inside the decentralized exchange (DEX) that supplies the swap route, even when the wallet itself is functioning. Robinhood’s Wallet FAQ lists a DEX error as a possible cause of a failed swap. The documented causes are not an exhaustive list; price movement, liquidity, contract conditions, and other application-level issues can also affect a swap, but the official guidance does not assign a single universal remedy.

Check a failed transfer separately from a failed swap
For a transfer, compare the destination address and network with the intended recipient. A transfer can fail because the transaction itself was rejected, but sending to a wrong address or an incompatible network is a different and more serious problem. Those mistakes may be unrecoverable even when the wallet transaction appears successful.
Understand ETH gas on Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network. ETH is its gas currency, meaning ETH pays the network fee for eligible transactions. The ETH used for Chain fees is held in the self-custody wallet and is separate from balances in a Robinhood brokerage account or Robinhood Crypto account.

Before submitting a new transaction, confirm that the wallet has enough ETH for the network fee. The required amount can vary with network conditions and transaction type. Do not imply that purchasing ETH will resolve an action that is already pending.

Robinhood Chain details useful for explorer checks
Most Robinhood Wallet users do not need to configure a network manually. If you are checking an EVM-compatible wallet or verifying that a network entry is correct, Robinhood identifies the following details:
- Network: Robinhood Chain
- Architecture: Ethereum-compatible Layer 2
- Gas currency: ETH
- Chain ID: 4663
- Explorer: Blockscout
Use the network that actually carried the transaction. A token with a familiar name on another chain is not automatically the same asset on Robinhood Chain, and an address copied from one network may not be valid for another.
When a wrong address or network may be unrecoverable
Blockchain transfers generally cannot be edited after broadcast. If you sent funds to the wrong address, the recipient controls the private key, or the destination is a service that cannot support that asset. If you selected an incompatible network, the receiving service may not recognize or be able to recover the deposit.
Check the explorer before assuming recovery is possible. Capture the transaction ID, sender and recipient addresses, token contract or asset name, amount, and destination network. Contact the receiving service if the address belongs to it, and contact Robinhood through the appropriate support channel. Neither channel can guarantee recovery when the destination is wrong or incompatible.
How to contact Robinhood support
Self-custody Wallet issues
Robinhood lists [email protected] for self-custody wallet issues. Include enough technical detail for the team to locate the event:
- Transaction ID, if one exists
- Network name and, when relevant, chain ID 4663
- Wallet address that sent the transaction
- Recipient address for a transfer
- Token, amount, and action type (transfer, swap, or other trade)
- The exact status shown in Activity and in Blockscout
- Approximate time of the attempt and your device type
- A screenshot with personal information hidden where practical
Account-specific questions
For questions about a brokerage or Robinhood Crypto account, use in-app support. Those account systems are separate from the self-custody Chain wallet, so sending a Wallet issue to the wrong channel can delay the investigation.
Protect your wallet while troubleshooting
- Never share your secret recovery phrase or private key. Support should not need either one to inspect a transaction.
- Do not approve an unfamiliar request. If a website or message asks you to “unlock” funds by sending ETH or revealing recovery words, stop and verify the request through the official app.
- Check addresses character by character. Copying a manipulated address from a clipboard or message can send funds to an unintended recipient.
- Use the explorer as a read-only check. Looking up a transaction does not require granting a third-party site control of your wallet.
- Keep support evidence private. Redact recovery phrases, private keys, passwords, authentication codes, and unrelated account details from screenshots.
A practical decision table

What to include in a useful support request
A message that says only “my crypto is stuck” leaves support without the information needed to search the network. State whether the action was a transfer or swap, quote the exact wallet status, and provide the transaction ID or wallet address. Add the explorer result and explain what you expected to happen versus what actually happened. This separates a pending network event, a signing failure, a DEX error, and a destination-address problem without asking you to expose wallet credentials.
