A simple timeline can make the record easier to understand: note when the notice arrived, when access or trading changed, when you submitted verification material, and when you contacted support. Save the exact wording of messages rather than relying on memory. If you can still access account history, capture the balance, open positions, and withdrawal status as they appear; if you cannot, ask the platform how to obtain those records. Contact the platform through an official channel

A restriction and a withdrawal hold are not necessarily the same thing. Ask separately whether trading access, account access, and withdrawals are affected. A hold alone does not prove that funds have been permanently forfeited; the platform’s stated basis and the eventual outcome are account-specific.

Separate the questions instead: Can you sign in? Can you trade or manage open positions? Are withdrawals pending, rejected, or suspended? Is the restriction temporary or final? What reason and rule does the platform identify? This distinction can prevent a broad phrase such as “account restricted” from obscuring whether the immediate issue is access, trading, verification, or funds. Ask the platform to answer for your specific account rather than inferring the outcome from another user’s experience.
Complete legitimate verification requests
Platforms may request identity or other account information. Kalshi says it may require information or documentation to verify an account and may request additional documents for regulatory compliance. If you receive a request, submit material only through a verified platform channel and retain a copy of what you sent.
If the request is vague, ask which item is missing or insufficient and what format or information the platform needs. The cited filing also describes a right to petition the Commission for a stay within 10 days of service and a specified appeal right within 30 days of service after a decision. These are provisions in that filed rulebook version, not universal deadlines for every account restriction or a guarantee that a particular route applies to your case. Rulebook versions can change, and the current notice and governing documents matter. Confirm the operative rule and deadline directly before relying on either period.
These dates are especially important to treat carefully: the quoted filing is an older rulebook source, while Kalshi’s current Rulebook v1.21 search result supports the separate point that withdrawals may be suspended or denied in enumerated circumstances. Do not assume that the older filing’s appeal language applies unchanged to a newer notice or to a routine verification request. Identify the kind of action described in your notice, check the current governing materials, and ask Kalshi to confirm which review route and deadline apply.
