Close the page and do not click its pop-ups, download or run files, enter account or payment details, or connect a cryptocurrency wallet. A site failing to load does not by itself prove that it is malicious or that your device is infected; what matters most is what the page asked you to do and whether you interacted with it.
Why a GTA 6 leak site may be risky
Scam pages can copy real-looking game artwork, promotion material, release details, or countdowns. Those details do not establish that a site is genuine. Malwarebytes documented GTA 6-themed impersonation pages that used copied promotions and “Play Now” or download links to distribute an information stealer targeting saved browser passwords, cookies, and authenticated sessions. A separate report described a fake page with wallet-draining functionality.

Rockstar advises users not to download third-party software, including cracked games. A supposed leaked build, demo, or installer is not a safe way to access GTA 6.
If you only opened the page or saw pop-ups
- Close the tab without clicking buttons, notification prompts, downloads, “verify” steps, login boxes, or wallet prompts.
- If the tab will not close normally, close the browser. Do not revisit the page to test whether it works.
- If you allowed browser notifications, remove that site’s notification permission in your browser settings. Do not follow instructions displayed by the suspicious page.
A pop-up or a failed load alone is not proof of infection. Do not download a supposed fix or security tool from the page.

If you entered a password or other account details
- Using a device you trust, change the exposed password. Change it anywhere else you reused it, too.
- Review the account for unfamiliar sign-ins, email changes, connected third-party services, and other changes. Report suspicious activity to Rockstar Support if your Rockstar account may be affected.
- Enable two-step verification. Rockstar advises users not to reuse their Rockstar password or share their credentials or verification codes.
If you downloaded and ran a file
Treat saved passwords and active browser sessions on that device as potentially exposed. Malwarebytes reported an investigated installer that targeted browser passwords, cookies, and authenticated sessions; that finding describes the reported sample, not every file or every visitor.
- Stop using the affected device for account logins and run a scan with a trusted security product.
- From a clean device, change important passwords and sign out active sessions where the service provides that option.
- Review account settings, unfamiliar activity, and email forwarding rules. Enable two-factor authentication and monitor accounts for changes you did not make.
A password change alone may not invalidate every active session, so use each service’s session controls where available.

If you connected a cryptocurrency wallet
Disconnect the site and check which permissions or transactions you approved. Connecting a wallet is not the same as approving a transaction or ongoing permission; the reported scam’s risk depended on approval.

- If you entered your recovery phrase, treat the wallet as compromised. Malwarebytes recommends moving remaining assets to a newly created wallet.
Where to verify GTA 6 information
Use Rockstar’s official GTA VI page and recognized platform stores to check game information and offers. As displayed by Rockstar on October 9, 2026, the page listed a November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, along with official video and artwork. Copied branding, accurate-looking details, or a prominent search result do not authenticate a third-party leak site.
