Nintendo says every move on the world map advances time, and some town requests have deadlines, so weigh each activity against its cost and what you need before the next match.
1. Train for a near-term need
Arena Plaza offers training once per week between matches. Nintendo says improved skills unlock moves and stronger weapons, making this the clearest scheduled opportunity to develop a unit outside battle. Consider which character or capability will help with an upcoming challenge rather than treating training as a routine stop. The official description does not quantify training costs or gains, so there is no established universal best choice.

On match days, you can also watch other battles to research opponents. That is a different kind of preparation: use it to learn about what lies ahead, rather than expecting it to improve a unit directly. Nintendo’s feature listing describes both activities.

2. Choose Dagsion facilities to solve a specific party need
Dagsion’s facilities serve different purposes. Pick the stop that matches the gap you want to address instead of assuming every visit has the same value.

- Here, order is maintained by the Church of Seiros from its headquarters at Garreg Mach Monastery, home to the Officers Academy, where you’re invited to teach one of its three mighty houses: The Black Eagles, The Blue Lions, and The Golden Deer.
- Which house will you choose?
- As its professor, you must lead your students in class and in tactical RPG battles wrought with strategic, new twists to overcome.
- Shopping Arcade: Buy equipment and items when your party needs gear or supplies.
- Temple Row: Volunteer to earn a beneficial blessing.
- Class exams: Take exams to enhance unit classes.
- Inns: Rest or share a meal; spending turns there can also grant experience and automatically gather materials. Characters may converse and support one another at the inn.
Nintendo’s game feature listing describes these options, while its overview of the game explains the inn activities. The sources do not give a complete turn-cost or reward comparison, so choose according to the immediate need rather than a supposedly optimal facility order.
3. Handle requests and recruitment with deadlines in mind
Townsfolk can give requests with rewards for completing them on time. Since some have deadlines, check what is available before committing time elsewhere. An uncompleted request may compete with training, town visits, or an excursion for the same limited window.

- Command Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters like Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude in epic real-time battles
- Play through three distinct storylines set in the Fire Emblem: Three Houses universe, each with a different ending, from the point of view of a new protagonist, Shez.
- Combine the action-packed Warriors-style gameplay with the strategy and style of the Fire Emblem series
- Fight through hordes of enemies with Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters and their distinct abilities
- Use Fire Emblem series mechanics like the weapons triangle, character classes, crests, and battalions to tailor your strategy
Recruitment is another reason to spend time in town. Some allies may join immediately; others need persuasion, such as receiving gifts or an invitation to share a meal. The official description does not specify exact thresholds, a complete gift guide, or all request rewards, so treat those details as unknown rather than relying on a fixed formula. Nintendo’s feature listing outlines the recruitment and request systems.
4. Plan Dagda excursions around their cost and payoff
Beyond Dagsion, towns offer local wares and information, traveling with allies improves their abilities in battle, and dungeons contain weapon-strengthening materials and treasure. These are distinct reasons to leave the city: shop or gather information for immediate needs, travel with an ally for development, or search a dungeon for equipment materials and loot.

- Torn between two families, you're an heir of Hoshido, raised by Nohrian royals.
- If you walk the path of Birthright, you'll battle the corrupted king of Nohr beside a family of strangers.
- Command them expertly and forge deep relationships to master this turn-based strategy game.
The trade-off is time. Nintendo’s overview says, “Time passes every time you move, so plan your expeditions carefully.” Each world-map move advances time, and the official description does not provide a complete route cost or a universal best itinerary. Before setting out, decide which payoff matters most and whether a deadline or upcoming main quest makes that excursion worthwhile. Nintendo’s overview describes the time rule and activities beyond Dagsion.

Use three questions whenever you are deciding what to do between matches:
- What will this cost in time? Pay particular attention to world-map moves and any deadline attached to a request.
- What immediate benefit do I need? Choose among growth, equipment, materials, information, recruitment, or a request reward.
- Will it help before the next deadline or main quest? If not, another available activity may be more useful now.
This is a planning framework based on the activities Nintendo describes, not an official scoring system or a proven optimal route. The game is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, according to Nintendo’s US overview; availability and product details can vary by region.
