Dimensions, fit and installation checks
Published dimensions differ by source. Appliances Online lists 850 mm high, 600 mm wide and 600 mm deep, and notes a minimum height of 820 mm with the removable top off. CHOICE lists 85 × 60 × 58 cm. Because the depth figures are not identical, confirm the measurements of the specific appliance and the installation requirements before buying or arranging a replacement.

- Ask whether the removable top is present and whether its removal is permitted for your installation.
- Confirm water, drainage and electrical connections with the seller or installer rather than assuming existing connections will suit.
- Have the seller confirm the model identity from the rating plate, particularly for used stock or listings that mention another EDW model.
Ownership and safety features
The manual describes Aquastop split-hose protection: it says the system shuts off water if the hose splits. This is a listed protective feature, not a guarantee against every leak, faulty connection or installation problem. Check the hose and installation condition and follow the manual’s instructions.

The manual calls for liquid rinse aid. It says the dispenser releases it during the final rinse to reduce spots and streaks and help water drain from dishes. Follow the manual’s detergent and rinse-aid instructions; the available documentation does not establish a preferred detergent brand.

Because CHOICE identifies the EDW62SS as discontinued, this is chiefly a model to assess as existing stock or a second-hand appliance, not a current product with established ongoing support. A seller listing a two-year manufacturer warranty does not by itself establish what protection applies to a particular unit; obtain written confirmation of coverage, start date and exclusions before purchase.
