1. Work out the full cost, not just the monthly plan price
Smart lists the iPhone 18 Pro at a starting price of ₱50,400. That figure is not the total cost of buying the phone with a postpaid plan, and it does not establish what a particular storage option will cost with a particular plan. Smart offers the phone with All-New Plans+ or as a Device Add-On, payable through one-time cash-out or Charge-to-Bill. Check Smart’s iPhone 18 Pro listing for the current offer details.

Estimate your typical monthly data use from your current bill or phone settings. Account for video, hotspot use, app downloads, and time spent away from Wi-Fi. A plan with more data may suit heavier use, but the plan price alone does not show the cost of the iPhone or prove that the plan is available with your chosen device offer.

3. Check what the 5G promotion actually covers
Both plan pages advertise unlimited 5G for 12 months as a promotion. Smart makes it conditional: you need to be in a 5G coverage area, use a Smart 5G phone, and meet the offer’s terms. It is not a promise of unlimited 5G everywhere or for the full life of the plan. Check coverage where you live, work, and regularly travel, and confirm the promotion’s terms for the specific application.

4. Confirm the exact iPhone and its availability
Smart’s current iPhone 18 Pro listing names 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB options and shows a starting price of ₱50,400. Confirm the selected storage, color, stock, cash-out, recurring device charge, and payment method in the live application. A listing is not a binding quote or a guarantee that a specific configuration is in stock.
Availability can differ by model and selection. For example, when retrieved, Smart’s iPhone 17 page showed the selected item out of stock and no payment plan available for that selection. That does not establish the availability of other models or what will be available later. Check the iPhone 17 listing if that is the model you are considering.

5. Check eligibility before applying or renewing
If you are renewing, Smart’s checklist says your account must have no outstanding balance, no ongoing renewal application, and must already be out of contract. Any device charge under your current plan must also be fully paid before applying. Review Smart’s renewal checklist and confirm that your account meets the requirements before choosing a new offer.

6. Read the current promo terms and delivery estimate
Smart’s retrieved iPhone 18 Pro listing advertised a promotion for successful applications from October 2 through October 15, 2026: an AirTag, 18GB of open-access data valid for three months, and a voucher for select Smart accessories. These are dated, conditional offer details—not guaranteed value for every application. Check the terms and qualifying purchase route, and count the freebies only if they appear in your confirmed application.
The store provides regional delivery estimates, while noting that actual timing varies by location. Check the estimate shown for your address if delivery timing matters.
7. Ask about unlocking and changing carriers later
Smart’s indexed FAQ says an unlock request requires the subscription to be out of contract and all remaining plan and device amortization charges to be settled. The FAQ content was not readable when retrieved, so confirm the current rule with Smart if you expect to use the phone with another carrier. Check Smart’s FAQ or contact Smart before relying on an unlock timeline.

A practical pre-application checklist
- Choose the exact iPhone model, storage, and color, then confirm live stock.
- Compare the plan’s data and calling inclusions with your normal monthly use.
- Check 5G coverage in the places you regularly use your phone and read the promotion terms.
- Review the personalized quote: upfront charges, service fee, device installments, other fees, payment method, and total cost over the stated term.
- Confirm the contract length and early-renewal rules in the offer itself; do not infer them from an older promotion.
- If renewing, verify your balance, contract status, device payments, and any pending renewal application.
- Check promo eligibility and delivery timing for your address before submitting.
