When can you pre-order iPhone Duo in the UK?
Apple’s UK product page lists 1:00 pm on Friday 16 October 2026 as the pre-order start. That is the time UK buyers should use when planning to order. Apple’s announcement, dated 9 September 2026, states the opening as 5:00 am PT, while the UK page presents the local conversion directly.

Pre-ordering is not the same as buying for immediate delivery or collection. Apple says iPhone Duo becomes available from Friday 23 October 2026, through Apple UK and selected network providers and retailers. The cited Apple page does not name those providers or retailers, so buyers should verify sellers and stock independently when the date arrives.

These are Apple’s listed UK prices, not converted US prices or independent market estimates. The difference between the entry 256GB model and the 2TB model is £1,200, so storage is the main purchasing decision reflected in Apple’s published configurations.

Apple’s announcement identifies these as model-specific accessories. It does not establish stock levels at particular third-party retailers.
How to prepare for the 1 pm opening
- Decide on storage and colour before 1 pm. The available choices are 256GB, 512GB, 1TB or 2TB, in Star White or Night Sky.
- Use Apple’s UK iPhone Duo or buy page at the opening time. The locally displayed schedule is 1:00 pm UK time on 16 October.
- Allow for launch demand. Have delivery or collection details and payment information ready, then check the estimated availability shown during checkout.
- Review the final configuration and total. Confirm storage, colour and any case or folio before submitting the order.
- If you wait until launch day, check the channel carefully. Apple says selected network providers and retailers will sell the phone from 23 October, but the cited announcement does not provide a named list.
Because launch times, prices and inventory can change, recheck Apple’s UK page close to publication and immediately before ordering. The 1 pm time and prices above reflect Apple’s information researched on 13 October 2026.

What Apple claims about the redesign
In Apple’s 9 September announcement, the company attributes this statement to CEO John Ternus: “iPhone Duo is the most transformational change to iPhone since the original.” That is Apple’s characterization of the product and should not be read as an independent comparison or test result.
