Play Nintendo’s official overview video introduces Kirby and the Forgotten Land as a 3D adventure with copied enemy abilities, playful transformations, and local two-player co-op. Nintendo lists the game as ESRB Everyone 10+ with Cartoon Violence in the United States; families can also choose between two difficulty modes.
What is the Kirby and the Forgotten Land gameplay video about?
The official Play Nintendo video page presents an overview of the Nintendo Switch-family game. Kirby explores 3D stages in a mysterious world, rescues Waddle Dees, and faces the Beast Pack. He can copy abilities from enemies, while Mouthful Mode lets him inhale certain real-world objects and take on new shapes.

Play Nintendo’s release overview adds that the adventure takes Kirby through abandoned structures left by a past civilization. It names abilities such as Drill and Ranger, which can be evolved as players progress, and notes that a second player can join as Bandana Waddle Dee.
The page also points to a free demo. Nintendo says it includes three stages and supports both single-player and two-player co-op. These are Nintendo’s descriptions of the game and demo, not an independent assessment of their content or suitability.

Is Kirby and the Forgotten Land suitable for kids?
The official Play Nintendo video page gives the US rating as Everyone 10+ with Cartoon Violence. That is the US ESRB rating shown on that page; ratings can differ by territory. Parents should consider the rating alongside a child’s age and comfort with cartoon combat.
For a less demanding introduction, Nintendo’s gameplay tips describe Spring-Breeze as a lighter mode with more health, suitable for newcomers to action games. Wild Mode offers more challenge and awards more Star Coins, according to the same guide. Nintendo says players can change difficulty at any time, so a household can adjust the challenge during play.

How does two-player co-op work?
Co-op is for two players on the same system. Player 1 controls Kirby; Player 2 controls Bandana Waddle Dee. The second player can join or leave during play, as described in Nintendo’s gameplay tips and family guide. The cited family guide says each player needs their own Joy-Con controller. Check Nintendo’s current controller guidance for the specific system setup you plan to use rather than assuming that requirement applies to every configuration.

The documented setup is local, same-system play; the cited guides do not establish online co-op. Solo play remains an option, and a second controller is relevant only if you want to use the co-op mode.
