Rockstar’s £349.99 Vice City Collection is a merchandise box, not a game bundle: the official store says Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately. Push Square lists the UK Standard Edition at £69.99, making the box about five times the listed game price. That comparison captures a striking present-day outlay—but it does not, by itself, prove that collector’s editions have become more expensive over time.
What the £350 Vice City Collection actually is
Rockstar calls the product Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a premium Collector’s Box inspired by the fictional TV show Macca the Gator. The company also describes it as a limited-edition collectible set on its GTA VI page. It is a merchandise collection, not a special edition of the game.

The official store lists 11 items:
- Macca the Gator figure
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses
- Leonida Keys crossbody bag
- New Era 9FORTY snapback hat
- Macca magnetic mirror
- Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- Vice City swizzle spoon
- Razor-blade-style keychain
- Enamel pin set
- Sticker pack
- Double-sided Leonida map poster
Most importantly for buyers expecting a game with their collector’s purchase, Rockstar’s listing states: “Note: Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately.” The £349.99 price is therefore for the merchandise box alone, not for the box plus GTA VI.

How the UK prices compare
Push Square reported the Vice City Collection at £349.99 in the UK and listed the GTA VI Standard Edition at £69.99. On those reported prices, the collection costs almost exactly five times as much as the game. They are different products, however: one is a standalone game listing and the other is merchandise without the game.

| Product | Reported UK price | What the price covers |
|---|---|---|
| Vice City Collection | £349.99, reported by Push Square in 2026 | 11 merchandise items; game sold separately |
| GTA VI Standard Edition | £69.99, listed by Push Square in 2026 | The game |
These figures make the consumer choice clearer: a buyer who wants both the game and the collection would need to budget for both purchases. The reported comparison is useful for understanding the present outlay, but it is not a like-for-like comparison of equivalent editions.
“Physical” GTA VI does not mean a disc
Rockstar Support says the Standard Edition includes the game, but the physical version is a download code in a box and does not contain a disc. Buyers should distinguish between a physical retail package and a disc-based copy: in this case, the box contains a code rather than game media. See Rockstar Support for the edition and format information.

What the GTA V comparison does—and does not—show
There is a meaningful product-design contrast with the GTA V Collector’s Edition announced in 2013. Take-Two said that US edition included the full retail game alongside physical and digital extras, with a US retail price of $149.99. The 2026 Vice City Collection, by contrast, is merchandise with the game sold separately.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Edition | Price and market | Game included? | Bundle description |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTA V Collector’s Edition, announced 2013 | $149.99 US retail price | Yes | Full retail game, physical items and digital content |
| GTA VI Vice City Collection, reported 2026 | £349.99 UK price | No | Merchandise collection; game sold separately |
The figures should not be read as a price rise from one comparable product to another. They use different currencies, refer to different markets and describe bundles with different contents. The 2013 price is not evidence of a UK price for that edition, and converting it directly into pounds would not create a fair UK comparison.

Nor does the available evidence establish a matched, inflation-adjusted UK price history for GTA collector’s products. The Bank of England says its calculator uses ONS CPI data from 1988 onward and that its results are approximate guides to UK purchasing power, with longer-range comparisons less accurate. ONS publishes UK CPI, CPIH and RPI series, but the cited material does not supply a comparable UK price for the 2013 GTA V set. Without that matched starting price—and comparable bundle contents—an inflation-adjusted claim would be misleading.

The clearest point is not that all gaming has become more expensive, or that collector’s editions have followed a proven long-term price trend. It is that this particular premium product separates the game from a substantial merchandise purchase. Rockstar sells the game and the Vice City Collection as distinct products, so the £349.99 box is an additional choice rather than a higher-priced way to get GTA VI itself.

That distinction matters because “collector’s edition” can suggest a bundle that includes the game. Rockstar’s product naming and purchase note make the terms explicit: this is a Collector’s Box, and the game is sold separately. For buyers, the practical question is whether the 11 themed items are worth the box’s reported price on top of the cost of the game—not whether the box is a more expensive edition of the game.
