Credited to modder Shon J, the project puts familiar Hyrule characters on location-themed teams and has been reported to include a mix-and-match character creator. It is an evolving fan project, not an official Nintendo release.
How Soccerina of Time reworks Ocarina of Time
Instead of exploring Hyrule as an adventure, players take the familiar cast into soccer matches. Reports describe characters and NPCs assigned to team positions, with clubs named for places and factions from the game.

What makes the character creator unusual
The reported creator lets players combine body parts from different characters and pair the resulting figure with an animation. Nintendo Wire gives one example: a Cucco head, Ganondorf torso, Princess Ruto legs, and Talon’s running animation. That kind of deliberately mismatched character is the project’s most distinctive reported twist.

Dexerto also reports slide tackles, scoring cutscenes, and a league and injury system. In a September 29, 2026 post attributed to Reticent (@ReticentY2K), the project was described as a prototype featuring a custom character creator, several stages, slide tackles, scoring cutscenes, a league and injury system, “and more to come!” That is a description of the prototype at that time, not confirmation that every feature is present in every build or a promise that future features will ship.
Where to look for builds and current instructions
Nintendo Wire reported on September 30, 2026 that a 30-minute video showed build 0.1 and that build 0.3 had since been released. Those are dated reports, not a guarantee that 0.3 remains the latest version. Zelda Central points readers to the project’s channel in the Hylian Modding Discord for builds and updates; check there for current availability and instructions.

The project listing identifies Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64 as the base game, but does not confirm the required ROM region or revision. Follow the project’s own current instructions for the exact ROM and patching process rather than assuming that any copy will work.
