The PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and Android details reported in recent Red Dead announcements belong to the existing Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare, not RDR3. Any claim that RDR3 is confirmed for a particular console, PC, or phone is speculation until Rockstar or Take-Two announces it.

What is officially known about RDR3 platforms?
At present, there is no official RDR3 platform list to report. Take-Two’s fiscal 2026 results release, published May 21, 2026, presents the company’s announced future lineup, but Red Dead Redemption 3 is not an entry in that lineup. That is evidence that the title and its platforms were not publicly listed there; it is not evidence that the game has been cancelled, that development has not started, or that a private plan does not exist. Read Take-Two’s fiscal 2026 results and lineup.
Rockstar has also not announced an RDR3 release date, pre-orders, editions, technical specifications, or a named-person statement about its platforms. Without one of those primary-source announcements, a platform prediction should be labelled as speculation rather than presented as a confirmed feature.

Why “not announced” is the precise answer
“Not announced” is narrower and more accurate than saying RDR3 is unavailable, delayed, cancelled, or definitely coming to a specific system. Publishers sometimes reveal a game, its platforms, and its launch timing at different times. The currently available official material simply does not establish any of those details for a third Red Dead Redemption game.
Do not confuse RDR3 with the 2025 Red Dead Redemption release
Recent platform headlines can look like RDR3 news because they use the Red Dead Redemption name. They concern the original game and its Undead Nightmare expansion. Rockstar’s November 13, 2025 announcement says that this existing package was coming to Netflix, iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. See Rockstar’s announcement.
Take-Two’s fiscal third-quarter 2026 release records the same earlier-game availability: a console release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, plus a Netflix version on iOS and Android. The release date listed for that product was December 2, 2025. See Take-Two’s fiscal third-quarter release.

RDR3 platform status by system
The table below separates what is established from what is merely being guessed. “Not confirmed” means no RDR3 platform announcement appears in the official material covered here.
| Platform or platform family | RDR3 status | What the official announcements actually establish |
|---|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Not confirmed | PS5 was named for the existing Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare release, not a third game. |
| Xbox Series X|S | Not confirmed | Xbox Series X|S was named for the existing game and expansion. |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Not confirmed | Switch 2 was named for the existing game and expansion. |
| PC | Not confirmed | No RDR3 PC announcement or RDR3-specific PC specification is provided. |
| iPhone and iPad (iOS) | Not confirmed | iOS availability refers to the existing game through the announced mobile release. |
| Android phones and tablets | Not confirmed | Android availability refers to the existing game through the announced mobile release. |
| Older PlayStation or Xbox consoles | Not confirmed | No RDR3 generation list has been published. |
| Cloud or other services | Not confirmed | No RDR3 cloud-platform, streaming, or additional service plan is stated. |
This table should not be read as a prediction that any particular system will be excluded. It records the boundary of the public information: the earlier title has named platforms, while RDR3 does not.
What the official timeline tells us
- November 13, 2025: Rockstar announced the existing Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare for Netflix, iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. The announcement was explicitly about that earlier game package.
- December 2, 2025: Take-Two’s later reporting identifies the release date for the existing game and expansion on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, with a Netflix version on iOS and Android.
- February 3, 2026: Take-Two’s fiscal third-quarter results continue to list the earlier Red Dead product and its platforms; they do not provide an RDR3 platform announcement.
- May 21, 2026: Take-Two’s fiscal 2026 results publish an announced future lineup without an RDR3 entry. No RDR3 platform, date, or edition is supplied in that lineup.
The sequence explains why a search result or social-media post can incorrectly turn an earlier game’s port list into an RDR3 claim. The dates and product names refer to the original release, not a newly announced sequel.

How to check for a genuine platform announcement
When a new rumor appears, use a short verification process before treating it as news:
Rank #3
- Get exclusive access to a bank robbery mission
- A collection of exclusive story mode boosts, bonuses and discounts
- Get three weapons Free at gunsmiths
- Check Rockstar’s Newswire. Look for an announcement that names Red Dead Redemption 3 itself, not merely “Red Dead Redemption,” “Undead Nightmare,” or a catalog update.
- Check Take-Two’s investor releases. Confirm that the title appears in an official lineup or results release and read the platform wording in context.
- Match the exact product name. A remaster, port, mobile version, expansion, or subscription release is not automatically a sequel.
- Look for explicit platform language. A reliable announcement normally identifies the console family, PC storefront or operating system, and whether availability is simultaneous or later.
- Separate date from platform. A release date for one edition does not prove that every platform launches on that date.
- Check the territory and edition. Physical, digital, subscription, and mobile versions can have different regional availability and requirements.
A retailer listing, database entry, job posting, leaker claim, or fan-made trailer can be a lead for further checking, but none replaces a publisher announcement.
What a future RDR3 announcement would need to clarify
If Rockstar or Take-Two announces the game, readers should look for more than a console logo. A useful platform notice would answer these questions:
- Which exact systems are supported: for example, a named PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, iOS, or Android generation.
- Whether all systems launch together or receive staggered releases.
- Whether the game is digital-only, has a physical edition, or differs by region.
- Which editions include the same story content, online features, downloadable content, or bonuses.
- Whether a PC version has a minimum operating system, processor, graphics card, memory, storage, or launcher requirement.
- Whether mobile support is limited to particular devices, chipsets, operating-system versions, or subscription services.
- Which features are platform-specific, such as resolution modes, frame-rate targets, save transfers, cross-progression, or online-play requirements.
- Whether backward compatibility is officially supported, rather than assumed from a previous title.
Until those details are published, it is safer to plan around confirmed products instead of buying hardware for an unannounced version.

Is there an RDR3 mobile version?
No. The iOS and Android information currently available concerns the existing game, including its Netflix-related mobile availability, not RDR3.
What is safe to say right now
The defensible answer for shoppers, console owners, and people deciding whether to wait is simple: no RDR3 platform has been announced in the official sources checked through May 21, 2026. The only named Red Dead platforms in the recent announcements belong to the earlier game and expansion. Watch Rockstar’s Newswire and Take-Two’s future lineups for a product-specific announcement before treating any platform prediction as fact.
