Which Honda Civics are in Gran Turismo 7?
“The Civic” is not one car in GT7. Official update notices list several different interpretations of the name:

That range gives Civic fans more than one point of interest: a modern Type R, a distinct Garage RCR project, and an older, compact Si. The EF is especially suited to an explanation based on handling character and tuning potential, rather than any unsupported claim about how often players choose it.
What might appeal about the Civic Si Extra (EF) ’87?
PlayStation describes the EF as a fourth-generation Civic with a ZC engine, four-wheel double-wishbone suspension and a longer wheelbase. The official feature calls it “A dominating force on the touring car circuit,” while noting its sporting Si lineage. PlayStation Blog’s Update 1.55 feature

Those details offer a plausible reason the car could appeal to players who enjoy compact cars with character and room to tune: its chassis and engine are part of the car’s identity, and GT7’s update adds engine-swap capability once a player reaches Collector Level 50. That is an explanation of potential appeal, not evidence that the EF is widely used.
Is the Ferrari F355 confirmed in GT7?
The latest official information covered here is Gran Turismo’s September 3, 2026 announcement for Spec IV. It said Part 1 was planned for October 15 and would add six cars, but the announcement’s article text did not identify those cars by name. Gran Turismo’s Spec IV announcement

Players discussing the reveal interpreted it as including the Ferrari F355, but that is community interpretation, not a named official roster entry. Treat the F355 as anticipated rather than confirmed playable on the basis of that announcement text. Because the planned update date has passed, check a post-release official car list before relying on a newer claim about its availability.

In a community thread requesting the F355, one player cited its sound and enjoyment in other racing games; later comments also pointed to its distinctive sound and iconic status. The player discussion
These comments show what some fans value: an evocative engine sound and nostalgia for driving the car in other games. They do not show how many GT7 players want the F355, whether it has been added, or how popular it would be in the game.
