Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber says the company is using AI agents in everyday employee workflows and to help prepare board discussions—but she says AI is not a formal board member and does not make board decisions. Her examples point to a practical approach: use AI where it can help with a human task, while keeping confidential information and human judgment in view.
Is an AI agent a member of Logitech’s board?
No. In a March 6, 2026 interview with Rapid Response host Bob Safian, Faber said Logitech uses an internal AI tool to review board materials and support preparation. She explicitly distinguished that assistance from formal board membership: the AI does not have a board seat, vote, or decision-making authority. Its feedback can help shape the discussion.

Faber said the material is proprietary because it is confidential. The interview does not specify the system’s technical design, where it is hosted, who can access it, or how its suggestions are evaluated. Faber said Logitech employees had built almost 2,000 AI agents by the time of the interview, and described AI tools as part of most employees’ daily workflows. Those are her figures and characterization, not independently audited measurements. The transcript gives no counting method, productivity baseline, or quantified results, so the agent total should not be treated as proof of business impact.

She also described an approach intended to make adoption broader than isolated experimentation:
- Training: Faber said 7,000 Logitech employees had been offered AI training.
- An internal workspace: Employees have an AI environment for working with tools, though the interview does not detail its features or access rules.
- Responsible-AI principles: Faber said the company uses principles to guide adoption; she did not enumerate them in the interview.
- Regular reviews: The company reviews practical breakthroughs and considers where they may be useful.
Faber acknowledged that not every experiment works: “Of the almost 2,000 agents we’ve built, some of them are duds. What does Logitech’s AI streaming example do?
Faber cited an AI streaming agent Logitech built with Nvidia for gamers and creators. She said it can help stream gameplay and offers six selectable modes. The interview does not name a retail product or establish its release status, price, or availability; it is an example of work the companies built, not evidence that consumers can currently buy or use it.

How does Faber think AI should change hardware?
Faber’s argument is that AI makes physical devices important because AI systems need ways to perceive and interact with the world. She put it this way: “In the age of AI, hardware is definitely sexy again. AI needs hands, needs eyes, needs ears.” Logitech’s products include devices such as webcams and other computer peripherals, but the interview does not establish that a particular Logitech model has AI features.
Her product principle is to begin with the person’s problem, then decide whether AI is useful: “Always start from the problem you’re trying to solve for a human and then see if AI can really play a role there, rather than tech for tech’s sake.” That distinguishes an AI-enabled product concept from one that merely adds AI as a label. The interview offers this as a principle, not a list of product launches or evidence of measured user outcomes.

What does “The Great Tech Divide” mean here?
The interview does not define “The Great Tech Divide” as a named framework. Faber discusses different applications of AI—from confidential board preparation to employee-built agents and creator tools—but does not identify a specific divide between groups, technologies, or outcomes.
