As of October 5, 2026, the largest screen in Samsung’s current US tablet comparison is 14.6 inches, shared by the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Samsung labels the S12 Ultra “Coming Soon,” so readers looking to buy now should check its order status and consider the established S11 Ultra in the meantime. Samsung’s tablet comparison and S12 series page show the current listings and status.
Which Samsung tablet has the biggest screen?
Using display diagonal—the measurement Samsung uses to compare screen sizes—the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are tied at 14.6 inches in Samsung’s current US lineup. The S12 Ultra is the newest model shown, but Samsung’s S12 series page currently marks it “Coming Soon” and offers an availability-update signup. The status can change, so check the product page before making a purchase decision.

The S11 Ultra also has a 14.6-inch display and an established official product page, making it the model to investigate if you need a large-screen tablet before the S12 Ultra becomes orderable. Samsung’s current US comparison lists both Ultra models at the same size.
What does 14.6 inches mean?
The 14.6-inch figure is the diagonal of the display’s full rectangle, not the tablet’s height or width. Samsung’s comparison lists the S12+ at 12.6 inches and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ at 13.1 inches, both smaller than the two Ultra models. Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report also records the earlier S10 Ultra at 14.6 inches, but the current comparison names the S12 Ultra and S11 Ultra at the top of its listed lineup.

How do the two 14.6-inch models compare?
Samsung lists the S12 Ultra and S11 Ultra with the same display size, 2960 × 1848 resolution, Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology, and 120 Hz refresh rate. Those figures describe the listed display specifications; they do not establish that the models are otherwise identical.
| Model | Screen and listed display details | Size and weight | Availability status shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra | 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X; 2960 × 1848; 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate (Samsung US comparison) | 12.85 × 8.21 × 0.20 inches; 1.52 lb, Wi-Fi model (Samsung US comparison) | “Coming Soon” on Samsung’s S12 series page as of October 5, 2026 |
| Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra | 14.6-inch WQXGA+; 2960 × 1848 (Samsung Electronics 2026 first-quarter interim report); Samsung’s US comparison lists Dynamic AMOLED 2X and 120 Hz | 208.5 × 326.3 × 5.1 mm; 692 g, Wi-Fi model (Samsung Electronics 2026 first-quarter interim report) | Established official product page; check current regional stock and ordering status |
Samsung’s specifications make clear that a 14.6-inch screen comes in a large-format tablet. The company’s 2026 interim report describes the S11 Ultra as “the thinnest and lightest tablet ever, equipped with the new S pen”; that is Samsung’s characterization, qualified in its footnote by the Ultra model’s 692 g and 5.1 mm specifications, not an independent industry comparison.
What Samsung lists for the S12 Ultra
Display, connectivity, and performance claims
Samsung’s current US comparison lists the S12 Ultra with Wi-Fi 7 and a 120 Hz adaptive display. Samsung’s S12 series page names a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, an upgraded vapor chamber, and up to 1,600-nit peak display brightness. These are manufacturer-published specifications and claims, not independent performance or brightness test results.

Storage, memory, and accessories
Samsung lists 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage configurations, paired with 12 GB or 16 GB of memory. Its comparison specifies microSD expansion up to 2 TB; the card is sold separately. Samsung also lists the S Pen as included, IP68 water and dust resistance, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos. Check the exact regional configuration and accessory compatibility for the generation you intend to buy.
Battery and software support
Samsung lists an 11,600 mAh battery and 45 W charging for the S12 Ultra, and advertises up to seven OS and security upgrades. Samsung’s comparison also estimates up to 23 hours of video playback. That estimate uses local 720p video, the default player, 162-nit brightness, earbud volume 7, and Wi-Fi and mobile networks turned off; Samsung says actual results vary with settings, usage, and other factors. Treat it as a manufacturer estimate under specified conditions, not a guaranteed everyday runtime.
How to choose between the tied models
Start with when you need the tablet
If you need to order a tablet now, verify the S11 Ultra’s availability in your region. If you can wait, monitor Samsung’s S12 Ultra page for a status change; “Coming Soon” does not establish a release or order date.

Consider the whole device, not only the diagonal
Compare carrying weight and footprint alongside display size. Samsung reports the S11 Ultra at 692 g and 5.1 mm thick for its Wi-Fi form; the S12 Ultra comparison lists 1.52 lb and dimensions of 12.85 × 8.21 × 0.20 inches for Wi-Fi. These specifications are published in different units and sources, so use the model-specific official listing when comparing regional versions.

Choose a smaller screen if portability matters more
Samsung’s current comparison lists the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ at 13.1 inches and the S12+ at 12.6 inches. The S12+ is also marked “Coming Soon” on the S12 series page. These are smaller-screen alternatives, not matches for the 14.6-inch Ultra models.

Samsung lists microSD expansion for the S12 Ultra and references keyboard and protective accessories for its tablets. A keyboard cover can suit productivity, while a case or screen protector can add protection. Match any accessory to the exact Tab generation and regional model before ordering; compatibility should not be inferred from the word “Ultra” alone.
