What does SAP Business Suite include?

Is SAP Business Suite the same as SAP S/4HANA?
No. In SAP’s current 2025 materials, Business Suite is the broader portfolio framing: it encompasses applications, data, and AI. SAP S/4HANA is an ERP product, rather than a synonym for the whole portfolio. The name also appears in older documentation. An SAP Help page uses “SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA” in the context of SAP ERP and HANA. What deployment choices are identified?
SAP Learning lists public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise ERP options. These are deployment models, not a guarantee that the entire Business Suite portfolio is available in identical form across all three.

The cited overview does not provide enough detail to compare costs or prescribe a model. An organization evaluating the options needs to confirm the current offer, responsibilities, and fit against its existing ERP landscape with SAP or its implementation partner.

SAP’s June 18, 2025 article describes packages tailored to business functions, extended through modular add-ons. It also names GROW with SAP as a transformation path for new customers and RISE with SAP for existing ERP customers. What should a business verify before evaluating it?
- Which applications and capabilities are included in the specific package under consideration.
- Which ERP deployment model is offered and how it fits the organization’s current systems.
- What SAP BTP, Business Data Cloud, and AI capabilities are available in that arrangement.
- Whether a stated transformation path or named product is currently offered for the organization’s region and circumstances.
The SAP pages cited here are dated 2025. They establish SAP’s portfolio definition and identify options and announcements at those dates, but they do not establish current pricing, licensing terms, package-by-package inclusions, or independently measured business outcomes.
