Selling, deleting (or destroying), and extracting (often called dismantling) are separate actions in Aion 2, with different consequences. The AION 2 Global Operation Policy allows limited restoration for some mistaken actions, but it says items sold to free inventory space cannot be restored. Check the item and the policy that applies to your region before confirming an action.
How the three item actions differ
| Action | What it does | Restoration under the AION 2 Global Operation Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Sell | Transfers the item to an NPC shop. | A mistakenly sold item may be restorable once per account per year. Sale proceeds are recovered as part of restoration. Items sold to free inventory space cannot be restored. |
| Delete or destroy | Removes the item through a deletion action rather than selling it to a shop. | A mistakenly deleted item may be restorable once per account per year. |
| Extract or dismantle | Uses the game’s extraction action; it is separate from selling or deleting. | A mistakenly extracted item may be restorable once per account per year, except wings and Arcana, whose extraction the policy says cannot be restored. |
These are the terms in NCSoft’s AION 2 Global Operation Policy. The policy does not document every item’s extraction eligibility, cost, or result. Check the live item’s available action and displayed result rather than assuming every item can be extracted or that extraction produces a particular material.

What to check before clearing an item
Before acting, inspect the item’s detail panel and consider whether it still has a use for your character or account. Independent AION 2 inventory guides recommend checking possible combat, upgrade, crafting, collection, appearance, supply, and alternate-character uses. These are useful checks, not a confirmed rule that every item serves those purposes.

- Consider whether it might help your character’s gear, upgrades, crafting, collections, appearance, or another character.
- If the item is unfamiliar or potentially valuable, store or hold it until you understand its role, if the client permits it.
- Before confirming, make sure you selected the intended item and action. Do not rely on a later support request to reverse the choice.

What the restoration policy does—and does not—promise
The policy describes narrow restoration categories; it does not promise that every request will be approved. Its general restoration process is subject to available records and time limits, and it says requests for losses covered by that process should be submitted to the customer center within 15 days. It also distinguishes ordinary losses caused by a user’s own actions or normal service use from losses caused by technical errors. Normal shop sales are not covered by general restoration beyond the specific schedule.
In particular, do not assume that a sale made to clear inventory can be undone: the Global policy explicitly excludes items sold for that purpose. For other mistaken sales, deletions, or extractions, the once-per-account-per-year provisions are limits on possible restoration, not a guarantee of recovery.
