- Purchased before the cutoff: keep the receipt and order confirmation showing the qualifying date, model and seller. The promotion’s end date should not cancel the device.
- Purchased after the cutoff: assume the expired price or bonus is unavailable unless the seller confirms otherwise in writing.

A real example: why the fine print matters
One Ray-Ban offer ran from April 10, 2026 through May 25, 2026, Pacific Time. It applied to qualifying Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 purchases, was limited to supported countries where Meta.com operates, lasted while supplies lasted and did not require a redemption code. Those conditions describe that offer only; they are not a universal Meta-glasses policy.
Ray-Ban Canada’s October 2026 terms show why a general “Ray-Ban sale” headline can mislead. Some eyewear discounts visibly exclude Ray-Ban Meta models, while a separate Eye Protection Plan offer is expressly tied to buying Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses. A promotion can therefore end, exclude the glasses from the start or apply a separate service condition without changing the operation of a pair already owned.

The glasses are supplied with a charging case. Ray-Ban’s FAQ identifies a USB-C charging plug as needed when charging the case from a wall outlet. An expired discount does not remove these requirements, and buying an accessory during a promotion does not replace them.
What happens if the app or phone changes?
Those requirements are ongoing compatibility conditions, not promotion conditions. If you replace your phone, update its operating system or lose access to the Meta account, pairing may need to be repeated. If an app version or service requirement changes, follow the current setup instructions and account prompts. Do not interpret a pairing problem after a sale as proof that the sale disabled the glasses.
Can Meta or a retailer extend an expired deal?
The available terms establish no universal policy for honoring an expired discount, matching a later price or refunding the difference. A seller may choose a customer-service adjustment, but that is a transaction-specific decision rather than an automatic entitlement.

Contact the seller with your order number and ask a precise question: whether the original offer applies to your model, purchase date, country and channel; whether a missed code can be applied; and whether a price adjustment is available under that seller’s return policy. Keep any written response. Meta’s terms cannot automatically bind an independent retailer, and a retailer’s promise cannot rewrite a manufacturer offer that excluded your model.
How to check your own purchase
- Find the complete offer terms. Use the promotion page, checkout disclosure or receipt, not only a banner headline. Record the start and end date, time zone, market and seller.
- Identify the exact glasses. Note the generation, frame style, lens type and whether the item was sold as Ray-Ban Meta or another Meta-enabled product. Eligibility can be generation-specific.
- Confirm the transaction date. Compare the payment or order-completion timestamp with the stated cutoff. A delivery date may not be the qualifying event.
- Check stock and exclusions. “While supplies lasted,” prescription options, bundles, colors, protection plans and coupon-combination rules can narrow the offer.
- Save proof. Keep the invoice, confirmation email, promotion terms and any code. Screenshots should show the date and market where possible.
- Test normal setup independently. Charge the case, install the Meta AI app, sign in to the Meta account and pair with a compatible phone. This separates a device issue from a promotion dispute.
- Escalate to the correct seller. The seller that took payment is the first contact for a missing discount or refund; manufacturer support is more appropriate for pairing, charging or account problems.
Common situations and the likely outcome
You bought qualifying glasses before expiry
The deal’s commercial benefit is evaluated under its purchase terms. The cited terms do not state that the hardware, account pairing or ordinary features terminate after the offer period. Retain your proof of purchase in case the benefit required a later claim or a support review.
You bought after the advertised deadline
Assume the expired offer does not apply. A retailer may run a replacement promotion, but you should not rely on the earlier percentage, free item or plan. Ask before paying if the advertised price is unclear.

The glasses were on sale, but the model was excluded
An exclusion defeats eligibility even when other Ray-Ban frames are discounted. The Canadian examples demonstrate that Ray-Ban Meta models can be excluded from a broad eyewear promotion while being named in a different Meta-specific offer.
You expected a protection plan or prescription benefit
A plan or prescription-lens incentive may be a separate offer with its own purchase window and conditions. Meta has announced prescription-optimized Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics styles sold through Meta.com, Ray-Ban.com and optical retailers, but availability and promotion terms vary by market. Features can change independently of a promotion
Ray-Ban’s promotion terms state: “Features, functionality and content are subject to change or be withdrawn at any time.” That is a service and product-feature caveat, not a statement that promotional expiry disables a pair of glasses. It means that cloud-dependent features, software behavior and available content should not be treated as permanently guaranteed merely because the hardware was purchased.
Keep two questions separate: “Did my purchase qualify for the offer?” and “Is a feature currently available on my account and device?” The first is governed by the offer’s dates and exclusions. The second can depend on app versions, account status, connectivity, supported phone software and changes to the product service.

- Verify wireless internet access and sign in to the correct Meta account.
- Update or reinstall the Meta AI app using the phone’s official app store.
- Check whether the problem affects all functions or only one cloud-dependent feature.
- Contact the seller for a promotion dispute, or product support for a hardware, app or account fault.
If support claims that a promotion caused deactivation, request the specific term authorizing that action. The cited offer example does not contain such a deactivation rule.
