If you reached a Pass reward’s required level but forgot to claim it, Epic says it will be added to your Locker the next time you log in. The harder question is whether you can get a skin you missed: expired Passes cannot be resumed, while some items from future Passes might later appear in the Item Shop. Crossover availability can also depend on licensing, but Epic’s general terms do not predict what will happen to any particular skin.
What happens to rewards you earned before a season ended?
Ending a season does not erase a reward you already earned. Epic Games Support says that if you forget to claim a Pass reward before the season ends, you receive it automatically the next time you log in, provided you reached the level required to earn it. In other words, manually claiming an earned reward and earning it are separate things. Epic’s unclaimed-rewards guidance explains the rule.

Can you buy or continue an expired Fortnite Pass?
No. Epic says a Pass for a season that has ended cannot be purchased or progressed. You cannot return to an old Pass to unlock rewards you had not earned. This is different from a possible later Shop sale: select items from eligible future Passes may be offered separately, subject to Epic’s policy and discretion. Can a missed Battle Pass skin return to the Item Shop?
Possibly, but there is no guaranteed return. In an announcement dated August 7, 2024, Epic said that items in future Battle Passes might be offered for purchase in the Item Shop after 18 or more months from the Pass’s expiration. Epic Support describes the change as applying to Battle Pass items released after August 7, 2024, beginning with Chapter 5 Season 4. Do not assume the policy makes every older Pass exclusive eligible.
The 18-month mark is a minimum waiting period before an eligible item might be offered, not a release date or promise. Epic says Shop selection depends on various factors and that there is no guarantee a Battle Pass item will appear. Its August 7, 2024 announcement covers Outfits and other cosmetic categories, including Back Blings, Pickaxes, Emotes, Instruments, Decals, Wraps, Loading Screens, and Banner Icons. Bonus Rewards and Quest Rewards may also be eligible under the same policy. Epic says items that will never be offered outside the Pass will be identified as such.
If an item does return, it may not include all the alternate styles that were available through the original Pass. Epic says the number of styles included can vary each time the item appears. Its Item Shop return guidance also notes that Support cannot grant an item or offer that is not currently in the Shop.

A crossover skin’s availability involves a separate question from the rules for expired Battle Passes. Epic’s EULA says an offer may be removed if a license contract ends and Epic no longer has distribution rights. It also says continued access to specific in-game content is not guaranteed. These are general terms, not an announcement that a named Fortnite crossover skin will be removed, nor proof that it will never return.

Without an official statement about a particular item, there is no reliable basis to predict whether that crossover skin will leave the game or come back to the Shop. Epic’s contractual language describes a possible reason availability could change; it does not supply a skin-specific timetable or outcome. The linked EULA is versioned, and applicable terms can vary by region.

How to check whether a skin is available now
Check the live Fortnite Item Shop for current offers. If the item is not listed, Epic Support cannot grant it outside the Shop. For an item from a future Pass, the policy allows only a possibility of a later sale after the waiting period; it is not a way to request or reserve a return.
