GTA+ is a recurring monthly membership for GTA Online on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC running GTAV Enhanced. It combines a GTA$500,000 deposit at each renewal with rotating vehicles, clothing, discounts, convenience features, member-only Shark Cards, Vinewood Club services, and a changing Games Library. The membership is most defensible for people who play GTA Online regularly and will use several benefits in the same billing month. It is harder to justify for occasional players, unsupported versions, or anyone subscribing for one short-lived reward.

What GTA+ is
GTA+ is an optional subscription rather than a permanent game upgrade or one-time purchase. Rockstar describes it as a monthly membership tied to a specific platform. You pay at the start of each monthly billing period, the subscription renews automatically, and the benefits apply to the eligible version of GTA Online associated with that store account.

The package mixes predictable benefits with a changing monthly selection. The predictable part includes the renewal deposit, member services and conveniences. The changing part can include vehicles, clothing, properties, discounts, event multipliers and access to games in the GTA+ Games Library. Because the rotating items and library can change, a benefit advertised in one month is not a promise that it will remain available in the next.

Who can use GTA+?
Current Rockstar eligibility language covers these versions:

Subscriptions are limited to a specific platform. Buying GTA+ on PC does not create a general entitlement that follows you to a console, and buying it on one console platform should not be treated as coverage for another. Country, store and edition restrictions can also affect availability.
What the membership includes
GTA$500,000 at every billing renewal
Rockstar Support describes an automatic GTA$500,000 deposit into the subscriber’s Maze Bank account at each billing-cycle renewal. The trigger is the renewal date, not the first day of a special event period. If you start a subscription halfway through an event, the next deposit still follows your monthly billing date.

This is in-game currency, not cash and not a guaranteed real-money saving. GTA$ does not have a fixed exchange rate that can be responsibly subtracted from the subscription price. Its practical value depends on what you would otherwise earn and what you intend to buy in GTA Online.
GTA+ Member-only Shark Cards
Members can buy selected GTA+ Shark Cards that include a 15% extra GTA$ bonus. The bonus applies to the member-only offers identified by Rockstar; it should not be read as a 15% increase on every GTA$ purchase or as a cash rebate. Compare the specific offer shown in your store before purchasing.

Vinewood Club features
The Vinewood Club package is one of the persistent service benefits. Rockstar lists a 100-vehicle garage, a workshop, an in-game phone app and access to member vehicles and services. The garage capacity is a feature limit, not a claim that every subscriber receives 100 free vehicles. Whether a particular vehicle or service is available can depend on the current membership offer.

- Visibility of the Gun Van and discounts associated with it.
- Selected discounts on in-game items.
- Selected mission and activity multipliers.
These perks matter most to players who use the relevant activities repeatedly. A discount on an item you never buy has no practical value, and a faster taxi cooldown matters less if you rarely travel that way.
Rotating vehicles, clothing, properties and event bonuses
Rockstar periodically changes the claimable items and event benefits. The selection can include vehicles, cosmetics, clothing, properties, discounts and temporary reward multipliers. Claim windows are part of the offer: you must claim an item before its stated deadline, and the item may not return on a predictable schedule.
For example, Rockstar’s benefits page listed the Pegassi Horus and Bigness clothing as claimable through October 7, 2026. That was a dated event window, not a permanent GTA+ entitlement. Rockstar’s October 1, 2026 Newswire also described an October 8 claim period for a Pegassi Oppressor motorcycle. Because event pages change, confirm the live benefits page before treating either example as current.

GTA+ Games Library
The Games Library is rotating access to selected games included with the membership. A game remains playable through GTA+ only while Rockstar includes it in the library and your membership remains active. Availability can differ by platform.

This is temporary access, not ownership. If you cancel and the paid period ends, access to included library games ends as well. The same applies if a title leaves the library while you remain subscribed; library inclusion is not permanent.
How much GTA+ costs
The official Rockstar Store search result reviewed for this article displayed $7.99 per month for GTA+ on PC through the Rockstar Games Launcher. That is a storefront-specific listing, not a universal worldwide price. Taxes, currency conversion, country availability and console-store pricing can produce a different amount. Treat the figure as an observed PC price and verify the total shown at checkout in your country.
The membership bills monthly with automatic recurring payments at the start of each billing period. Unless you cancel, the store continues charging on the renewal date. A free trial, annual plan or permanent price lock is not established by the published material discussed here.
What happens when you cancel?
Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not normally cut off a paid month immediately. Rockstar’s terms state that access continues until the end of the current billing period. At termination:

Use the subscription-management area of the store where you bought GTA+. Look for the GTA+ subscription, choose the option to turn off automatic renewal or cancel, and keep the confirmation. Store labels differ, so check the account that actually holds the subscription rather than cancelling a different platform account. If you bought through a console store, cancelling a PC membership will not manage the console subscription, and vice versa.

There is no official break-even calculation or independent study establishing a universal value for GTA+. The sensible answer depends on eligibility, local price, play frequency and the benefits you will genuinely use. Count practical value, not the advertised value of every possible perk.
GTA+ is easier to justify when
- You play GTA Online several times during most billing months.
- You are on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC with GTAV Enhanced.
- The recurring GTA$500,000 deposit is useful to your normal in-game plans.
- You regularly use the Vinewood Club garage, workshop, taxi, Gun Van or CEO/VIP conveniences.
- You can claim the current rotating vehicle or other reward before its deadline.
- You would actually play one or more games in the current Games Library while subscribed.
Skipping or subscribing only occasionally makes more sense when
- You play only a few times and may miss the renewal deposit or claim windows.
- You use PS4, Xbox One or PC Legacy, where current eligibility is not established.
- You want one temporary vehicle or cosmetic but would not use the other benefits.
- You already own or would not play the current Games Library titles.
- You are comparing GTA$ directly with dollars as if the in-game currency had a fixed cash value.
A practical monthly value test
- Confirm eligibility. Identify your platform and PC edition, then check that GTA+ is offered for that exact version.
- Record the local total. Use the price shown in your own store, including any displayed taxes or currency conversion.
- Estimate actual use. Note how many sessions you expect during the paid month and which services you would use.
- Count recurring benefits first. Include the GTA$500,000 deposit, relevant discounts, activity multipliers and conveniences you would otherwise pay for or spend time without.
- Add rotating rewards only when you can claim them. Check the expiry date for each vehicle, clothing item, property or event multiplier.
- Value the library realistically. Include a game only if you would play it during the membership period and accept losing access after cancellation.
- Set a cancellation reminder. If the month was mainly for one event, cancel before the next renewal while retaining access through the paid period.
This method avoids treating every listed perk as money saved. A frequent player may find the combination of recurring currency, services and rotating rewards convenient at the monthly price. An infrequent player can pay for a full month while using little more than one claim, making the same fee poor value for that person.
Common pitfalls
Confusing the event calendar with your billing date
Event periods and subscription renewals run on different schedules. The GTA$500,000 deposit arrives on your renewal date, while a vehicle or clothing claim can expire on a date set by the event. Check both dates separately.

Rotating benefits are temporary unless Rockstar explicitly says otherwise. Save or claim an item before the displayed deadline; do not wait until the next month expecting it to remain.

Assuming GTA+ covers every platform
The terms tie a subscription to one platform. Confirm the store account and game edition before paying, particularly if you play on both PC and console.
Forgetting the automatic renewal
GTA+ continues until cancelled. If you subscribed for a single event, cancel automatic renewal soon after subscribing and retain the confirmation. The paid period should continue through its scheduled end under Rockstar’s cancellation terms.
Treating library access as ownership
Games in the GTA+ Games Library are available only while they remain included and your membership is active. Do not cancel a separate purchase you need simply because a library version is temporarily available.
Bottom line
GTA+ is a conditional value proposition, not an automatic bargain. Regular eligible GTA Online players who use the recurring deposit, member services and current rotating offers can get meaningful monthly utility. Occasional players, unsupported-edition users and subscribers chasing one expiring reward should verify the dates and price carefully before committing to another automatic renewal.
