Samsung Good Lock is an official Galaxy customization app made of separate modules. Each module changes a particular layer of One UI or phone behavior—such as the home screen, lock screen, quick panel, keyboard, navigation, gestures, audio controls, wallpapers or selected camera options. It is not one master switch, and installing Good Lock does not give every Galaxy phone the same capabilities.
The useful approach is to identify the part of the phone you want to change, then install the module that controls it. Availability depends on your Galaxy model, One UI version, Android release and country, so always check the Galaxy Store listing on the phone you intend to use.

What Good Lock does
Good Lock is Samsung’s collection of customization tools for Galaxy smartphones. The main Good Lock app acts as a catalog and launcher; the actual changes are made by plug-ins. Some plug-ins install inside Good Lock, while others appear as separate apps after you select them.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
This modular design is why two Galaxy owners can open Good Lock and see different catalogs. Samsung’s support guidance says plug-ins vary by device model and region, and that Samsung can add or remove plug-ins. Some plug-ins may be offered only in English. Phones running Android 7 or earlier are not supported, according to Samsung’s support pages.

- MAKE IT. EDIT IT. SHARE IT: Turn everyday moments into something personal with creative tools built right into your mobile phone, whether it’s a special contact photo, custom wallpaper, an invitation or more⁴
- HELP THAT KEEPS UP: Stay in the moment while Now Nudge with Galaxy AI helps you respond faster and stay organized with smart suggestions⁵ that appear exactly when you need them on your phone
Good Lock changes software behavior and appearance. It does not add a new camera sensor, increase storage, replace a stylus or provide a hardware accessory. The enabling product is a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone; the practical question is whether the desired plug-in is listed for that exact phone and region.
Check compatibility before you install anything
There is no single global compatibility chart covering every Galaxy model, country and One UI release. Use the Galaxy Store on your own phone as the final authority.
- Check that the phone is newer than Android 7. On most Galaxy phones, open Settings, choose About phone, then Software information to view the Android version; wording can differ by One UI release.
- Open the Galaxy Store and search for Good Lock. Confirm that the publisher is Samsung.
- Install Good Lock and open its module catalog. A module that is absent, disabled or marked incompatible is not supported for that device or region at that time.
- Open the listing for each module you want. Read the device and software notes, because a module can support one Galaxy generation or One UI version while missing from another.
- After a major One UI update, check the listings again. A module may temporarily lag a beta release, and Samsung can change the catalog.
Samsung’s regional support pages explain these limitations in more detail: Samsung Ukraine’s Good Lock guide and Samsung Levant’s Good Lock guide. Regional pages are useful explanations, not a promise that every listed plug-in appears in every market.

What each important module changes
Home Up: reorganize the home screen
Home Up focuses on the launcher rather than the whole theme. It is the module to investigate when you want different home-screen organization or layout behavior. Samsung’s One UI 7 coverage highlights a redesigned Home Up, so controls can look different after a major One UI update. The module does not change the physical display or add apps; it changes how the existing home screen is arranged and used.

Sound Assistant: make volume control more precise
Sound Assistant is for people who find the standard volume panel too coarse or too limited. Samsung describes volume increments from one to 10, per-application volume settings and a customizable volume-panel appearance. It also includes controls for media-volume behavior and related audio functions. That lets you adjust one app without treating every app’s volume as identical. Samsung’s description appears in its April 11, 2025 Good Lock feature article.
Theme Park: coordinate colors, icons and interface elements
Theme Park is the visual-design module. It can generate or adjust themes for interface colors and components such as the keyboard, quick panel and messaging interface. Samsung’s One UI 7 coverage also describes app-icon customization and changes to home-screen folder shape and color. Theme Park is therefore broader than changing a wallpaper: it affects the visual language of supported interface elements.
One Hand Operation+: turn swipes into shortcuts
One Hand Operation+ adds configurable gesture zones along the sides of the display. You can assign functions to horizontal, vertical or diagonal swipes, tune the recognition area, change vibration feedback and exclude individual apps so gestures do not interfere with their controls. Samsung also describes S Pen gesture configuration where the phone and software support it. This is useful when a one-handed swipe is faster than reaching for a navigation button or opening a panel.
Wonderland: build animated lock and home wallpapers
Wonderland lets you assemble animated wallpapers from layered images, text, video and particle effects. Samsung says motion can respond to the phone’s tilt and to touch, and that the lock screen and home screen can be customized independently. A still photo can therefore become a moving scene without replacing the underlying display hardware. Samsung’s April 15, 2025 explanation is available in the Global Newsroom feature on recommended Good Lock features.
RegiStar: add settings shortcuts and back-tap actions
RegiStar targets the Settings experience and selected gestures. Samsung Japan describes changing the settings menu and assigning actions to gestures including a tap on the back of the phone. The available actions and gesture reliability depend on the model, case, sensors and software. Consult the module’s listing rather than assuming every Galaxy phone has the same back-tap choices.

Camera Assistant: adjust supported camera behavior
Camera Assistant changes how the camera app behaves rather than adding photographic hardware. Samsung Japan gives additional zoom-button choices as an example. Options are device- and software-dependent, so a control shown in a guide may not appear on your camera. Check the module listing and the camera app after installation to see which switches your phone exposes.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →QuickStar: tune the quick panel
QuickStar is the module for the pull-down quick panel. It changes supported panel presentation and organization, helping you tailor the area used for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, brightness and other shortcuts. It does not create capabilities that the phone’s firmware lacks; it rearranges or presents supported controls differently.
Keys Cafe: style the Samsung Keyboard
Keys Cafe concentrates on the Samsung Keyboard’s appearance and related customization. Use it when your goal is a different keyboard look rather than a system-wide theme. Keyboard behavior still depends on using Samsung Keyboard as the active input method.
NavStar: change navigation controls
NavStar controls supported navigation icons and layouts. It is relevant to phones using gesture navigation or the traditional navigation-bar arrangement when you want different visual controls or placement. The options shown can change with One UI updates.
LockStar and ClockFace: refine the lock screen
LockStar handles the lock-screen layout and placement of supported elements. ClockFace focuses on the lock-screen clock designs. They address different layers: use LockStar for arrangement and ClockFace for the clock itself. Either module can be unavailable on a particular model or region.

MultiStar: extend multitasking options
MultiStar is aimed at multitasking and multi-window behavior. It is the logical starting point when you want to adjust how supported apps open or coexist in split-screen and related modes. The exact options vary by One UI release and app compatibility.
Which modules should you use?
Choose by the result you want, not by the module’s popularity:
- More organized home screens: start with Home Up.
- Finer or app-specific audio: use Sound Assistant.
- A coordinated visual style: use Theme Park; add Keys Cafe if the keyboard needs separate styling.
- Faster one-handed actions: use One Hand Operation+; consider RegiStar for a back-tap shortcut.
- A moving wallpaper: use Wonderland.
- A different quick panel or navigation bar: check QuickStar or NavStar respectively.
- More lock-screen control: combine LockStar with ClockFace when both are offered for your phone.
- Extra multitasking behavior: check MultiStar.
- Camera controls: check Camera Assistant and verify that your model exposes the option you need.
There is no universal best module. The comparison that matters is the phone area, the specific setting and the listing shown for your device and region.

Samsung reported the following cumulative downloads through early March 2025. These are downloads since launch, not a count of active users, current installations, satisfaction or independent rankings.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Module | Samsung-reported cumulative downloads | Attribution and date |
|---|---|---|
| Sound Assistant | More than 21 million | Samsung Electronics, reported in the April 11, 2025 Global Newsroom article; cumulative total as of early March 2025. |
| Theme Park | More than 17 million | Samsung Electronics, same report and measurement date. |
| One Hand Operation+ | More than 16 million | Samsung Electronics, same report and measurement date. |
Samsung called these the three most-downloaded Good Lock features by cumulative downloads through that date. The figures should not be read as proof that one module is more useful for your phone than another.

Common problems and how to handle them
A module does not appear
The most likely explanations are model, region or software compatibility, or a change in Samsung’s catalog. Confirm the phone’s Android and One UI versions, search the Galaxy Store directly and read the current listing. Do not install an unofficial package to bypass the catalog.
The module worked before an update
Good Lock plug-ins can be updated separately from One UI. After a stable system update, update Good Lock and its installed modules from the Galaxy Store. If you are running a One UI beta, expect temporary gaps while modules catch up; beta behavior should not be generalized to the stable release.
The controls described online are missing
Descriptions often combine features from different Galaxy generations or regions. A control such as an extra camera zoom choice, a particular navigation layout or an S Pen gesture may be conditional. Check the module’s on-device help and listing, then verify the phone model and software version before assuming the installation failed.
The interface language is different
Samsung notes that some plug-ins may be available only in English. That is a catalog or localization limitation, not necessarily a fault with your phone.
What you need—and what you do not
You need a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone and access to its Galaxy Store. The module functions described here do not require a replacement part, accessory, repair tool or separate physical device. Because availability is model- and region-specific, verify the desired modules before choosing a Galaxy phone specifically for Good Lock customization.
Bottom line
Good Lock is best understood as a toolbox for targeted Galaxy changes. Home Up handles home-screen organization; Theme Park and Keys Cafe handle visual styling; NavStar and QuickStar alter navigation surfaces; Sound Assistant refines audio; One Hand Operation+ and RegiStar add shortcuts; Wonderland animates wallpapers; Camera Assistant adjusts supported camera behavior; and MultiStar expands multitasking options. Install only the modules that solve a specific problem, and use the Galaxy Store listing on your own phone as the final compatibility check.
