“Download all pictures” usually means saving multiple images detected on one webpage, not copying every image from an entire website. A browser extension may scan the open page, let you filter and select images, and then download the chosen files in bulk.
What does “download all pictures” mean?
The phrase is ambiguous. In a browser image-downloader context, it generally refers to finding images on the current webpage and saving selected ones together. It does not, by itself, mean downloading every image across a whole website.

For example, a Chrome Web Store listing for Download Images describes scanning the current webpage, filtering detected images by size, selecting images, and downloading them in bulk. Those are features described by the listing publisher, not independently verified results.

How does downloading pictures from a webpage work?
- Open the page. Navigate to the webpage containing the images you want to save.
- Run an image-downloader extension. Use an extension that scans the current page; the cited listing describes this kind of workflow.
- Review and filter the results. Check the detected images and use available filters, such as image size, to narrow the list.
- Select the pictures you want. Do not assume that “all” detected images are useful or that every item should be saved.
- Download the selection. The listing describes bulk downloading selected images, but it does not establish that the process works on every site or image.
What should you check before installing an extension?
- Browser compatibility: Confirm that the extension currently supports your browser.
- Privacy disclosures: Read the extension’s current privacy information and requested permissions before installation. A store listing alone does not independently establish that an extension is secure or respects privacy.
- Site and image limitations: The available description does not guarantee that every webpage or image can be detected or downloaded.
- Your selection: Preview and choose the files you actually need rather than treating a bulk-download feature as a reason to save everything.
