A Xiaomi phone and an iPhone do not offer a single, complete, always-on mirror of each other. There are three practical routes: use Apple’s Move to iOS workflow for a one-time transfer while setting up a new iPhone; use Xiaomi Interconnectivity for selected file sharing and cross-device functions; or keep Google-hosted content such as photos and calendars available by signing in to the same Google Account on both phones. Which data moves depends on the route, the phone models, operating-system versions, app versions and whether the iPhone is still in first-time setup.
First decide whether you need migration or synchronization
The word “sync” covers two different jobs. Migration means copying selected information once from the Xiaomi phone into a new iPhone. Synchronization means keeping selected information accessible or shareable between devices after both are already configured. The correct method changes with that distinction.

- Moving to a new iPhone: use Move to iOS during the iPhone’s setup process. Google’s Android-to-iPhone guide lists photos, contacts, messages and more among the data that can be transferred, with the categories chosen in the app.
- Sharing files after setup: use Xiaomi Interconnectivity/Xiaomi Share on compatible devices. This is selective sharing, not a complete clone of either phone.
- Keeping cloud data available on both platforms: sign in to the same Google Account and use Google services such as Google Photos or Google Calendar on the iPhone.
- Xiaomi Cloud Gallery: it is not a current photo-sync route. Xiaomi ended Gallery synchronization and the announced transfer/download period in 2023.
An iPhone that has already completed setup cannot normally be added to the Move to iOS flow without returning to setup. Do not erase an established iPhone merely to try the transfer unless you have a verified backup and understand what will be removed.

One-time transfer to a new iPhone with Move to iOS
Move to iOS is the most complete official route for a Xiaomi-to-iPhone move, but it is a setup migration rather than a background synchronizer. Google’s current Android-to-iPhone instructions describe using it while the iPhone is being configured.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Prepare both phones
- Charge both phones or keep them connected to power. Put them near each other and connect them to Wi-Fi.
- On the Xiaomi phone, install Move to iOS from the Android app store. Keep the Xiaomi unlocked while the transfer is running.
- Check the connectors before buying or using a cable. Google recommends a USB-C cord when the exact Xiaomi and iPhone models support the required connection, and says the cord is more reliable than Wi-Fi. A cable is optional because Wi-Fi is also supported.
- Confirm that the iPhone is new or has not completed setup. The documented flow is part of iPhone setup, not a later add-on for an already configured phone.
Start the transfer on the iPhone
- Turn on the iPhone and follow setup until the Android transfer option appears.
- Choose From Android. Google’s guide then labels the next choice Transfer with app.
- Open Move to iOS on the Xiaomi phone and follow its prompts. The iPhone displays a code or pairing step for the Android app.
- Connect the phones with the compatible USB-C cord if you are using one. Otherwise follow the Wi-Fi instructions shown by the app.
- When the content list appears, select the categories you want and let the process finish before using either phone for other work.
Choose Apple apps or Google services for photos and calendars
Google’s guide allows you to leave the Apple Photos or Apple Calendar categories unchecked. That choice is useful when your photo library or calendars already live in Google services: finish iPhone setup, install or open Google Photos and Google Calendar, and sign in to the same Google Account. This provides continuing access through Google’s apps; it does not mean Xiaomi Gallery is still synchronizing with Xiaomi Cloud.
What the transfer result means
“Photos, contacts, messages and more” is Google’s description, not a guarantee that every item on every Xiaomi model will appear identically on the iPhone. The app presents the categories available for that transfer, and the selected items determine the result. Treat the operation as a copy into the new iPhone, not as a permanent two-way relationship between the phones. After setup, new changes on the Xiaomi are not described by Google as automatically updating the iPhone through Move to iOS.
Keep Google data available on Xiaomi and iPhone
Cloud-account access is often the simplest way to use the same information on two platforms. On the Xiaomi, your photos or calendar entries remain associated with the Google Account. On the iPhone, install the relevant Google app and sign in to that account. In Move to iOS, leave the corresponding Apple category unchecked when you prefer this arrangement.

Google Photos can provide cross-platform access to a library after you sign in on the iPhone. Check the account’s available storage before uploading a large Xiaomi library, and verify that the iPhone is displaying the correct account. Album organization deserves special attention: Xiaomi’s former Gallery export notice said the then-offered transfer to Google Photos did not preserve the original Gallery album structure. Do not expect an old Xiaomi Gallery album layout to be recreated automatically.

- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Calendars
Google Calendar can remain the calendar app you use on both devices. Leave Apple Calendar unchecked during the Move to iOS flow if you want to keep the data in Google Calendar, then sign in on the iPhone. This is account-based access, not a direct Xiaomi-to-iPhone database mirror.
Storage and account checks
- Confirm that both phones use the intended Google Account; multiple accounts can make a library appear incomplete.
- Check cloud capacity before uploading or restoring photos.
- Allow time for a large library to index after signing in, especially when the iPhone is on cellular data or low power.
- Keep the Xiaomi until you have opened representative photos, contacts and calendar entries on the iPhone or in the chosen Google apps.
Ongoing sharing with Xiaomi Interconnectivity
Xiaomi Interconnectivity/Xiaomi Share is a separate system from Move to iOS. It is designed for selected cross-device actions between compatible Xiaomi and Apple devices. Xiaomi describes file sharing through its Apple-device app, while the App Store listing describes additional functions that can vary with the current app version.
Standard Xiaomi-to-Apple file sharing
For Xiaomi’s documented standard sharing path, the Xiaomi phone needs HyperOS 2 or later. Install Xiaomi Interconnectivity on the Apple device, open the app, enable Bluetooth and place both phones on the same local network. The app must be running for the documented exchange.
- Connect both phones to the same Wi-Fi network. A shared local network is part of Xiaomi’s stated requirement; being on unrelated mobile-data connections is not equivalent.
- Turn on Bluetooth on both devices and open Xiaomi Interconnectivity on the iPhone.
- On the Xiaomi, select the images or files you want to send and choose Xiaomi Share or the corresponding interconnectivity target.
- Choose the detected Apple device and accept the request on the iPhone.
- For the reverse direction, start in Xiaomi Interconnectivity on the iPhone and select the Xiaomi device as the destination.
The available actions depend on the direction of transfer, device model, software build, app version and network permissions. Xiaomi does not present this feature as a full copy of messages, settings, apps or every account database.

Touch to share compatibility
The newer Touch to share mode has narrower requirements. Xiaomi specifies all of the following for its stated compatibility guidance:
- A Xiaomi phone running HyperOS 3 or later, with the Touch to share setting actually present on that model.
- An iPhone 12 or later running iOS 17 or later.
- The latest Xiaomi Interconnectivity app on the iPhone.
- NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on both phones.
- Both screens on and both phones unlocked during the exchange.
Xiaomi lists photos, videos, files, Wi-Fi passwords, contacts and web pages as supported Touch to share content. These are compatibility thresholds supplied by Xiaomi, not a guarantee that every regional model or software build exposes the same menu. If the setting is missing, use standard sharing or another transfer route rather than assuming the phone is defective.
Other interconnection functions
The Apple App Store listing for Xiaomi Interconnectivity describes features such as notification synchronization from the iPhone to a Xiaomi phone, replying to messages in Xiaomi phone apps, cross-device file sharing, hotspot activation, device finding, contact sharing, browser-data sharing and web-page sharing. Version-history entries show feature additions through 2025, so labels and behavior can change. Treat these as optional supported functions, not as evidence that every iPhone notification, conversation or browser record will be mirrored.
Why Xiaomi Cloud Gallery is not the answer
Xiaomi’s October 25, 2022 notice announced the staged end of Gallery synchronization to Xiaomi Cloud. Depending on region, synchronization stopped during the termination period, and the announced service and export/download window concluded by July 2023. That one-time window is over.

Xiaomi’s notice said Contacts, Messaging and Notes synchronization continued, but it did not leave an active Xiaomi Cloud Gallery sync path for current Xiaomi-to-iPhone use. Do not look for a current Gallery migration control or assume that signing in to Xiaomi Cloud on an iPhone will restore the old photo workflow. For photos, use a currently supported account service such as Google Photos and check storage and album organization.

You are setting up a replacement iPhone
Use Move to iOS first. It is the route designed for a selected batch of Android data entering a new iPhone. Prefer a compatible USB-C connection when available, because Google describes the cable as more reliable than Wi-Fi. Decide before starting whether photos and calendars should land in Apple apps or remain in Google apps.
Both phones are already configured
Use Xiaomi Interconnectivity for individual files or supported cross-device actions. For cloud-hosted photos and calendars, sign in to the same Google Account on the iPhone. Move to iOS is not documented as a later background synchronizer.
You need a few files quickly
Check whether both devices meet the standard Xiaomi Share requirements. If they also meet the Touch to share thresholds, that mode can handle the Xiaomi-listed content types. Otherwise, use the standard local-network flow or a cloud account.

You want the entire Xiaomi phone duplicated
None of these methods promises a complete clone. Move to iOS transfers selected categories during setup; Xiaomi Interconnectivity shares selected content and functions; Google services expose data held in the Google Account. Plan to configure apps, permissions and device settings separately.
Troubleshooting common failures
Move to iOS is not offered
The iPhone is probably past the setup stage. Finish the setup with another method, or make a verified backup before considering any erase-and-restart decision. Do not erase an established phone solely because the transfer option is absent.
The transfer stops or takes an unusually long time
Keep both phones powered, close together and unlocked as requested. If using Wi-Fi, reduce competing network traffic. If using a cable, check that the connectors on the exact Xiaomi and iPhone models support the required connection; not every generation accepts the same cable arrangement. Restarting both phones and beginning the setup flow again can clear a temporary pairing failure.
Some photos or calendars are missing
Check whether the category was selected in Move to iOS. If you intentionally left Apple Photos or Calendar unchecked, open the corresponding Google app and sign in to the correct account. For photos, verify cloud storage and allow indexing to finish; also check whether the items were stored locally on the Xiaomi rather than in the account you opened on the iPhone.
Xiaomi Share cannot find the iPhone
Update or reopen Xiaomi Interconnectivity, enable Bluetooth, place both phones on the same local network and keep the Apple app running. Confirm that the Xiaomi phone meets the HyperOS requirement. For Touch to share, additionally check the iPhone model and iOS version, NFC, unlocked screens and the latest app version.
A feature appears in documentation but not on the phone
Xiaomi’s features vary by model, region, operating-system build and app release. Check the actual Xiaomi Share or Interconnectivity settings on your phone and the current App Store listing. A missing menu is a compatibility limitation, not proof that the whole transfer system is broken.
Privacy, safety and verification checklist
- Use the official Move to iOS and Xiaomi Interconnectivity apps from their platform stores.
- Prefer a trusted local network for device-to-device sharing; avoid sending sensitive files over an unknown public network.
- Review which categories you select instead of transferring everything by default.
- Keep the Xiaomi unchanged until the iPhone or Google account shows the data you need.
- Open sample photos, contacts, messages and calendar entries, and check dates and album organization before wiping the old phone.
- When sharing Wi-Fi passwords or contacts through Touch to share, confirm the receiving device and accept only the request you initiated.
Bottom line
For a new iPhone, Move to iOS is the one-time Xiaomi-to-iPhone migration route: select the categories during setup, and use a compatible USB-C cable when possible. For phones that are already configured, Xiaomi Interconnectivity offers limited sharing and cross-device features on supported hardware, while Google Account sign-in keeps Google Photos and Calendar available across platforms. Xiaomi Cloud Gallery synchronization ended in 2023, so it should not be treated as a current solution. No route creates a complete, continuous mirror of every Xiaomi and iPhone data type.
