As of October 3, 2026, the official records and operator pages reviewed do not name a celebrity booked on a future spaceflight. Katy Perry, Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez are often the names people have in mind—but they already flew on Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission on April 14, 2025.

Are any celebrities confirmed for a future spaceflight?

No future celebrity passenger is named in the official records and operator pages reviewed through October 3, 2026. That is a time-bounded finding, not a claim that no announcement could exist elsewhere or that a new passenger cannot be announced later. The FAA’s commercial human spaceflight recognition roster records completed qualifying flights; it is not a forward-looking booking list.

Virgin Galactic’s booking page says expeditions are fully booked and invites visitors to register for a Fall 2026 bookings release, but it does not identify celebrity passengers. A booking-release date is not a flight date or a passenger announcement.

Which celebrities have already gone to space?

Blue Origin NS-31 passengers

The FAA records Blue Origin’s NS-31 as a completed flight on April 14, 2025. Its six passengers included singer Katy Perry, journalist Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez. They have already flown; they should not be described as upcoming passengers. The mission included six people, so this list does not imply that every passenger was a celebrity. See the FAA recognition roster for its dated flight record.

What counts as a spaceflight in these records?

The FAA says its commercial recognition roster covers people who exceeded 50 statute miles on an FAA-licensed commercial launch or reentry. That is the criterion for this FAA list, not a universal definition of where space begins. The roster helps verify covered commercial flights and passengers, but it should not be treated as a complete list of every person who has traveled to space.

It is also important to distinguish a private passenger flight from a professional astronaut mission. NASA describes Crew-13 as a Commercial Crew Program rotation to the International Space Station. That is a government astronaut mission, not a celebrity-tourism passenger list.

What do upcoming flight schedules tell us?

Virgin Galactic

Virgin Galactic’s site provides booking-status information but names no future celebrity passengers. Separately, Space.com reported, based on Virgin Galactic’s Q2 2026 earnings call, that the company’s first new commercial flight had moved to a February 2027 target. That is schedule context, not evidence that a celebrity has booked or will fly on that mission. Virgin Galactic’s newsroom is another place to check for company updates.

Blue Origin

Blue Origin’s NS-38 mission page records the flight as the 38th New Shepard mission and identifies passengers from past missions. It does not name a celebrity on a future flight. A record of earlier passengers or a completed mission should not be read as a future manifest.

How to check whether a celebrity flight is actually confirmed

  • Look for a named passenger in an operator announcement or a dated official mission record.
  • Check whether the flight is completed or upcoming; past-flight records do not confirm future bookings.
  • Separate a bookings release, a schedule target, and a passenger announcement. They describe different things.
  • Check the mission type: a commercial passenger flight and a professional astronaut rotation are not interchangeable.

Schedules can change, and passenger manifests may be announced or revised. The records cited here establish the status described as of October 3, 2026.
