Before accepting a quote or issuing a purchase order, verify three things separately: that the reseller is authorized for the relevant NVIDIA channel, that the exact server configuration fits your workload, and that the warranty and support you need are included and will be active. A partner listing does not certify every server that partner sells, and certification does not establish your support entitlement.
1. Define the workload and deployment before comparing servers
Start with the work the system must do, not the GPU count in a sales quote. Record whether it will handle training, fine-tuning, inference, or a mix, and whether it will run as a single node or in a cluster. Include expected model and data sizes, storage and networking needs, software environment, deployment location, and uptime requirements.

These details affect what counts as a suitable configuration and how it should scale. NVIDIA’s certification materials distinguish single-node systems from cluster configurations and cover training and inference workloads. Its program also describes testing for multi-node training and inference, remote storage access, and cluster health, performance, and security. Use your requirements as the basis for assessing the proposed system; a certified configuration is not automatically the right size or fit for your particular workload.

2. Verify the reseller and the exact server configuration
Check the seller’s relationship with NVIDIA through the relevant partner locator or regional sales-channel page for your market and product. NVIDIA describes channel and partner information on its partner page. Treat this as a check on the seller relationship, not proof that every system it sells is certified or that support is included.
Request the exact OEM and model, bill of materials, and every material component and service in the offer. At minimum, establish the GPU model and count, CPU, memory, storage, network adapters and interconnects, software, and support SKUs. Then compare that configuration—not just the product family or GPU name—with NVIDIA’s current certified-system or qualified-server resources where applicable.
NVIDIA says its certification program evaluates systems for performance, functionality, scalability, and security. Certification applies to named systems and configurations; it is not a general approval of all products from a reseller or OEM. Check that the proposed system’s configuration and intended scale align with the listing and with your workload.

3. Put warranty and support terms in writing
A limited standard hardware warranty is not the same as an enterprise support contract. NVIDIA states that, beyond the limited standard warranty on NVIDIA hardware, customers need a purchased contract and an active support entitlement to receive support. Eligibility depends on the product and geography, so ask the seller to identify the applicable offering and confirm that the entitlement will be active for your organization and installed system. Support levels can differ substantially. NVIDIA lists local-business-hours access and a four-business-hour initial response for Severity 1 cases under Business Standard; Business Critical lists 24/7 access and a one-hour initial response for Severity 1. These are terms for designated offerings, subject to availability and the applicable product terms—not universal guarantees for every AI server purchase.
Have the quote or contract identify:
- Warranty duration, coverage, exclusions, and the party responsible for service.
- Support provider and service geography, coverage hours, response targets, and support start and end dates.
- Who handles first response, hardware diagnosis, parts replacement, onsite service, escalation, and software cases.
- The product-specific support SKU and evidence of entitlement activation for the buyer and installed system.
4. Compare complete offers on equal terms
Headline GPU counts and bare-metal prices do not show whether two offers deliver the same system or service. Normalize the proposals against the requirements you wrote down, including the following items:

- Exact hardware configuration and any workload or scale validation.
- Software and licenses, plus support level and duration.
- Integration, rack or cluster installation, acceptance testing, and logistics.
- Shipping, taxes, renewal costs, and other charges needed to compare total delivered and supported cost.
NVIDIA describes partner capabilities that can include integration, configuration control, logistics, user services, and warranty services. Those capabilities are not automatically part of a particular sale: require each seller to specify the services, responsibilities, timing, and price in its proposal. Obtain like-for-like quotes rather than assuming a current price or relative performance from a product listing.
5. Check facility requirements for the proposed configuration
Before ordering, request the OEM’s documentation for the exact system covering power draw, electrical service, cooling, rack dimensions and weight, network topology, and any liquid-cooling or facility conditions. Have your data-center or facilities team assess the site against those specifications. Do not rely on a generic power or cooling figure: requirements depend on the specific configuration, and a partner listing or certification does not validate your facility.

- Delivered configuration, firmware and software versions, and asset serial numbers.
- Documentation, burn-in or acceptance procedure, and the criteria for passing.
- Support activation evidence and delivery milestones.
- Remedies for delay, failed acceptance, or unauthorized substitutions, including responsibility for return freight.
Require approval before any change to the GPU, networking components, or support SKU. A substitution can affect workload fit, compatibility, certification status, or support; reassess the revised configuration and entitlement before accepting it.

Select only after your team can verify the configuration, service scope, and site requirements against its own needs.
