If you want the smallest conventional Samsung Galaxy phone in the current base-flagship comparison, choose the Galaxy S25: it is shorter, narrower and lighter than the Galaxy S26. If you want a phone that takes up less height in a pocket when stored, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and Z Flip7 fold into a much shorter shape, but open into large-screen phones.
Samsung’s S26 series went on sale on 11 March 2026. Older-model stock varies by country and seller, so check local listings before deciding what you can buy.

Which Galaxy phones are smallest?
“Smallest” depends on whether you mean a conventional phone’s overall body or a foldable’s closed footprint. These comparisons use Samsung-published specifications; they do not establish a ranking of every older Galaxy model a retailer might still sell.
- Smallest conventional phone in the S25/S26 comparison: Galaxy S25.
- Shortest folded phone among the cited foldables: Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, by a small margin over the Z Flip7.
- Thinnest folded phone among the cited foldables: Galaxy Z Flip7.
How do their dimensions compare?
The S25 and S26 are measured as conventional, unfolded phones. The Flip models have separate folded and unfolded dimensions; comparing a closed Flip with an open slab does not describe the same use state.

Choose the Galaxy S25 for a smaller conventional phone
Among the compared base S-series models, the S25 is the straightforward choice if body size and weight matter more than having the newer model. Its 146.9 mm height, 70.5 mm width and 162 g weight make it smaller and lighter than the S26 in Samsung’s cited specifications.

Consider the Flip7 FE if the shortest and narrowest folded footprint is your priority. Consider the Flip7 if a thinner folded profile matters more. Both unfold into substantially taller phones with larger main displays.
