There is no proven universal winner. For an AI that answers service calls and books appointments, compare Mia and Podium Service AI (also called Jerry); consider Lineshift for a broader mix of dealership call workflows, and Kimoby Voice when the main need is catching calls staff miss and handing them to an advisor. Kimoby’s current FAQ says it does not book appointments. The right choice depends on your call strategy, scheduler and DMS setup, and how reliably the system handles exceptions—not just on a vendor’s feature list.
Which platforms fit which dealership call jobs?
The products below target overlapping but distinct workflows. A vendor’s general integration or booking claim does not establish that every workflow will work with your dealership’s specific DMS, scheduler, phone system, or permissions.

Choose by the job you need the AI to do
If every inbound service call should be answered and booked
Start with Mia and Podium Service AI, then include Lineshift if you also want sales, parts, routing, or other dealership call workflows in scope. AutoAce and Brooke.ai also describe booking capabilities, but verify the exact booking path and system fit in a demonstration and pilot. Establish whether the AI checks live availability and creates a confirmed appointment, or only records a request for staff to complete.
If you need proactive maintenance, recall, or declined-work calls
Mia describes maintenance reminders, recalls, and OEM campaigns; Podium describes mileage- and repair-history-based follow-up, recall flags, and declined-service follow-ups. Compare which customer records trigger a call, how the platform handles opt-outs and wrong numbers, and what staff see after an unsuccessful attempt. Those operational details are not settled by a broad campaign feature claim.

If the problem is calls missed while staff are busy
Kimoby Voice is specifically positioned to pick up after staff do not answer, capture the caller’s request, and route context to the appropriate advisor. That is a different purchase from an answer-first booking agent: its FAQ says it cannot currently book appointments.
If one agent must cover multiple dealership departments
Lineshift describes service, sales, parts, routing, and outbound campaigns. That breadth may matter if you want one platform across several call types, but test each workflow separately; success with appointment booking does not establish that parts enquiries or sales qualification work equally well.

How to evaluate booking, integrations, and handoffs
Use a pilot to test the actual path from a caller’s request to the dealership’s systems and staff. Ask vendors to demonstrate the following against your own configuration:
- Map the stack. List the rooftop’s DMS, appointment scheduler, CRM, phone system, and any workshop-planning tools. Have the vendor confirm each required connection and permission in writing; a named integration alone does not prove every function is supported.
- Define “booked.” Ask the AI to check availability, select a valid appointment type and slot, write the appointment to the live scheduler, and return a confirmation. Verify in the dealership system that the entry is present and correct. Separately test requests that need staff judgment.
- Test exceptions. Use scenarios such as no suitable slot, a caller unsure which service is needed, a complex repair, a parts question, and a request for a human. Check whether the system transfers the call or captures the request, and whether the advisor receives useful context.
- Test outbound controls. For reminders, recalls, or declined work, confirm which records can trigger calls, how outcomes are logged, and how the workflow handles an unanswered call or a customer who does not want further contact.
- Review evidence and operating terms. Request pilot definitions and results, implementation and support terms, pricing, data-retention details, call-recording controls, and security documentation. The public vendor material reviewed does not provide a comparable price table or an independent head-to-head outcome study.
How much weight should you give the performance numbers?
The public figures below are vendor-reported and do not use a shared methodology, so they are not a reliable basis for ranking platforms against one another.

- Mia: Its undated service page, accessed in 2026, claims an 80% booking conversion rate and an average of $60,000 in monthly AI-booked service revenue. The page does not state the calculation or sample for either figure.
- Podium: Its undated service page, accessed in 2026, says Billingsley Hyundai achieved a 100% call answer rate and 15% more service appointments after switching to Podium. The page does not provide a measurement period or independent validation.
- Lineshift: Its undated vendor page, accessed in 2026, says the platform has handled more than one million automotive customer calls. The figure is not a comparative outcome measure.
- Proactive Dealer Solutions: In a vendor press release hosted as a PDF by EIN Presswire, the company says an average of 30% of inbound service calls never connect, attributing the figure to millions of calls monitored through its proprietary CallerCX platform. This is the company’s estimate, not an independent industry-wide measure.
Ask each vendor to define the denominator, time period, locations, call types, and treatment of failed or transferred calls for any figure it uses in your sales discussion. Compare like with like during your own pilot.
