Accenture’s FY2026 results point to continued growth in global demand for consulting, technology and managed services, but they do not forecast any Indian IT firm’s next quarter or full year. Investors can use Accenture’s revenue, bookings and outlook as context, then test that signal against each Indian provider’s own growth, deal activity, guidance, margins, cash flow and business mix.
What Accenture reported for FY2026
Accenture reported its fourth-quarter and full-year results on October 1, 2026. Its fiscal year ended August 31, 2026. The figures show growth, but the currency basis matters: U.S.-dollar growth and local-currency growth are different measures and should not be interchanged.

| Measure | Q4 FY2026 | Full-year FY2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $18.68 billion; up 6% in U.S. dollars and 7% in local currency | $74.2 billion; up 6% in U.S. dollars and 5% in local currency |
| Bookings | $22.17 billion; up 4% in U.S. dollars and 5% in local currency; book-to-bill of 1.2 | $84.5 billion |
| Operating margin | 15.3% GAAP | 15.4% GAAP; 15.8% adjusted |
| Diluted EPS | not stated | $13.56 GAAP; $13.97 adjusted |
| Free cash flow | not stated | $11.6 billion |
Accenture’s FY2027 revenue-growth outlook is 3% to 6% in local currency. That is management’s forward-looking expectation for its own business, not a forecast for Indian providers. Accenture Chair and CEO Julie Sweet described the year as “broad-based growth across our business” and cited adjusted EPS growth of 8%, record shareholder returns of $11.5 billion, and 141 quarterly client bookings of $100 million or more. Those are management’s characterizations and reported figures, not independent conclusions about sector demand.
How the cited Indian-company results compare
The following company-reported figures relate to Q1 FY2027, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, for TCS and Wipro. They cover different scopes and measures, so they are useful company snapshots—not a directly comparable ranking or an Indian IT sector aggregate.
#1 Best Overall
| Company and scope | Revenue growth | Deal activity | Operating margin | Outlook |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TCS, total company | $7.624 billion; up 2.7% year over year in U.S. dollars and flat sequentially in U.S. dollars. Constant-currency growth was 3.2% year over year and 0.4% sequentially. | $9.5 billion total contract value | 24.0% | not stated |
| Wipro, IT services | $2.6145 billion; up 1.0% year over year in U.S. dollars. Non-GAAP constant-currency growth was 0.9% year over year and down 1.2% sequentially. | $1.626 billion in large deal bookings | 16.0% IT services operating margin | For the quarter ending September 30, 2026: IT services revenue of $2.574 billion to $2.627 billion, equivalent to sequential constant-currency guidance of -1.5% to +0.5%. |
TCS also reported $2.6 billion in annualized AI revenue. Its reported revenue mix included North America at 48.3% and India at 6.2%; geography and domain mix can influence how an external demand signal translates into its results. Infosys’s investor results page identifies Q1 FY2027 and the June 30, 2026 quarter end, with a July 23 results announcement, and links to the company’s release, statements and transcripts. The page itself does not provide the figures needed here for a numeric comparison.
What Accenture’s signal can tell investors
Accenture’s revenue growth offers evidence that its large, global client base generated higher revenue in FY2026. Its bookings and book-to-bill offer another view of new work won relative to revenue recognized, while its FY2027 outlook records management’s current expectation. Together, those measures can help investors frame questions about enterprise spending on services.
Rank #2
Bookings are not revenue recognized in the same period: work may start later, convert over time, or be affected by contract timing and execution. Likewise, guidance is an expectation rather than realized performance. A book-to-bill above 1 means bookings exceeded revenue for that quarter under the company’s measure; it does not establish when or how much of that work will become revenue.

Accenture and Indian providers do not have identical businesses or reporting periods. Their results can diverge because of differences in consulting versus managed-services mix, client and industry concentration, geography, outsourcing exposure, contract start dates and conversion, delivery footprint, pricing, utilization, acquisitions and currency translation. Accenture’s fiscal year ended August 31, while the TCS and Wipro quarters cited above ended June 30; period alignment is necessary before drawing comparisons.
Rank #3
The cited peer outcomes themselves are not uniform: TCS reported positive constant-currency growth year over year, while Wipro’s IT services constant-currency growth was lower and declined sequentially. Those are distinct company disclosures with different business scopes and definitions, not proof of an industry-wide trend. The available company figures do not establish a single Indian IT sector growth statistic.
Accenture also identifies volatile economic and geopolitical conditions, client demand, changing technology and AI, talent matching, competition, pricing, delivery efficiency and foreign exchange as factors that can affect performance. The presence of a favorable global signal does not remove those risks or guarantee a comparable result at another company.

A practical checklist before making a read-through
- Align the reporting period. Compare the same quarter or clearly account for fiscal-year differences and the date each outlook was issued.
- Match the currency basis. Keep U.S.-dollar growth separate from local-currency or constant-currency growth; exchange-rate movements can change the reported result.
- Match the scope. Do not compare Accenture’s total company directly with an Indian provider’s IT-services segment without saying so.
- Read growth with deal indicators and guidance. Revenue is realized performance; bookings or contract value indicate awarded work under each company’s definitions, and outlook is not realized performance.
- Check profitability and cash conversion. Distinguish GAAP from adjusted or non-GAAP margins and compare cash flow on an aligned basis rather than inferring profitability from revenue growth.
- Account for mix. Look at geography, industries and service lines to judge whether the provider is exposed to the same demand conditions.
The useful conclusion is directional, not predictive: Accenture’s FY2026 report is a timely global reference point, while an investment view on TCS, Wipro, Infosys or another Indian firm still depends on that company’s own disclosures and exposures.
