How the four cooking zones are laid out

This is an electric ceramic-glass cooktop, not an induction model. Its stated zone wattages describe the elements, but the available product information does not include comparative heating-time results. Do not assume induction-specific features such as cookware detection or induction speed.

Hob2Hood requires a compatible rangehood
Westinghouse says Hob2Hood lets compatible rangehoods switch on and adjust fan speed or airflow in response to cooking. The feature depends on using a compatible hood; it is not a promise of operation with every rangehood. Westinghouse’s product fact sheet says: “With Hob2Hood technology, compatible rangehoods work seamlessly with your induction or ceramic cooktop to clear your kitchen of cooking smells and steam.” This is a manufacturer feature claim, not an independent performance finding.
Pause and the 99-minute timer
The fact sheet lists a Pause function and a programmable countdown timer of up to 99 minutes. Westinghouse says the timer switches the heat off when the selected cooking time ends. These controls may be useful for managing cooking, but they do not establish better cooking results.

Keep-warm and safety indicators
The listed keep-warm function is intended for holding food warm. A child lock, safety cut-off, fault indicator, and residual-heat warning lamps are also specified. The residual-heat lamps warn that the surface may remain hot after cooking; they do not mean it cools immediately.

What independent testing and customer feedback establish
CHOICE has a Westinghouse WHC943BD review page. The publicly visible information identifies a four-element cooktop, a 90 × 52 cm body, and an 88 × 49 cm installation opening. Its expert rating, cooking-performance and ease-of-use scores, and detailed high- and low-heat results are available to members only. Without those results, there is no basis here to call the cooktop a top performer or a poor one.

The same retailer lists a two-year manufacturer warranty and says the cooktop must be hardwired by a qualified electrician.
