Wazza is a phishing kit that reportedly screens visitors through a multi-stage routing chain before showing its final lure: an Adobe-themed OAuth Device Code page. A report based on ANY.RUN analysis says the observed activity targeted banking, government, and manufacturing organizations in the United States, Europe, and Australia. It does not identify confirmed victims, quantify impact, or attribute the kit to an operator.
What the Wazza phishing kit does
Wazza is described as a phishing kit that controls which visitors reach its final page. Rather than serving the lure to everyone who opens an initial URL, the analyzed infrastructure checks campaign and browser-related signals along the way. The reported sequence is specific to the activity examined; it should not be assumed to describe every Wazza deployment or future campaign.

The Hacker News report, based on ANY.RUN analysis published October 8, 2026, describes wildcard routing on boegl-krysl.eu, followed by a campaign check at /api/wazza-config. A host on workers.dev issues a client marker used to correlate visits. The kit then requests a short-lived signed session token through /api/mint-token. A checking domain validates that token and browser telemetry, filtering visitors before later /r and /meline paths lead to the reported lure. Read The Hacker News report.
This staged design matters when investigating a suspicious link: the first URL may look unremarkable, and a static inspection may not reveal behavior that appears only after the routing, token, and browser checks. A dynamic analysis environment that can reproduce browser behavior is more useful for this kind of investigation than relying on URL appearance or reputation alone. The report does not compare sandbox products.

How the Adobe-themed Device Code lure works
The final page reportedly uses Adobe branding and an OAuth Device Code authentication flow. The familiar service presentation is the social-engineering wrapper; the report’s central point is that visitors must pass through the kit’s screening stages before seeing it. This differs from a phishing page whose primary trick is simply to collect a password in a conventional form.
Device Code authentication is a legitimate sign-in method in some environments. In a phishing scenario, an attacker can abuse the flow by persuading a person to participate in an authentication process they did not initiate or do not understand. The campaign report identifies the flow used by the lure, but it does not document individual victim outcomes or establish how many people completed authentication.

Who the report says Wazza targeted
ANY.RUN’s analysis associates the observed Wazza activity with banking, manufacturing, and government organizations in the United States, Europe, and Australia. These are reported targeting categories and regions—not a confirmed victim list, a measure of exposure across those sectors, or evidence that every organization in them is affected.
The report supplies no Wazza-specific victim count, campaign volume, or success rate. A separate ANY.RUN September 2026 threat coverage digest lists a Wazza HTTP activity rule and characterizes the kit as using Device Code flow. That indicates detection coverage exists, but it does not independently establish campaign scale or verify every detail of the routing chain. ANY.RUN threat coverage.

What defenders can check and do
For an organization investigating possible exposure, use the reported indicators as time-sensitive leads, not as a permanent or complete blocklist. Validate any response against the organization’s identity configuration and incident-response process.
- Review network evidence: Check DNS and proxy logs for the reported domains and paths, including
boegl-krysl.eu,/api/wazza-config,/api/mint-token,/r, and/meline. The report’s indicators may change or become inactive. - Inspect identity-provider activity: Look for unexpected device-code sign-ins, especially involving users who received a suspicious link or report an unfamiliar authentication prompt.
- Contain suspected account compromise: Revoke affected users’ sessions and refresh tokens, then follow the organization’s incident process to investigate activity and restore secure access.
- Review device-code policy: Where the flow is not needed, consider restricting it. Where it is needed, assess whether access can be limited to named users, devices, or networks.
- Analyze suspicious links dynamically: Use a controlled analysis environment capable of following browser behavior and multi-stage routing; a static URL check may not reach the final page.
These measures are defensive responses described or implied by the campaign report, not a guarantee that Wazza activity will be prevented. The reviewed reporting does not rank identity platforms or show that any particular vendor blocks this kit.

What is not established
The available reporting does not identify who operates Wazza, establish state sponsorship, name affected organizations, or quantify victims. The sector and regional descriptions should therefore remain claims about reported targeting, not conclusions about confirmed compromise or prevalence.
