WatchGuard Technologies appointed Allison Clarke to a newly created role leading partner programs and go-to-market strategy, the company announced September 30, 2026. The move signals that WatchGuard wants partner input to shape its programs and business decisions; it does not announce changes to partner terms, pricing, or benefits.
What Clarke’s new role covers

WatchGuard describes the appointment as part of strengthening its channel-first business model and making the partner experience more seamless. The remit has three connected workstreams:
- Partner programs and enablement: shaping the programs and support used by channel partners.
- Go-to-market alignment: coordinating how WatchGuard works with partners across its routes to market.
- Partner input in business decisions: reflecting partner perspectives in programs and enablement, pricing, packaging, and product strategy.
These are areas of responsibility and stated priorities, not a list of changes WatchGuard has already made. The announcement does not specify a program redesign, new pricing or packaging, or new partner benefits.

Clarke’s channel and go-to-market background
WatchGuard says Clarke brings more than 20 years of channel and go-to-market leadership experience. According to the company, she spent nearly a decade helping shape Sophos’s global channel strategy and partner programs. Most recently, she was Vice President of GTM and Partner Programs at SonicWall. WatchGuard also says she held leadership roles at McAfee, where she helped build and scale channel programs.
What WatchGuard and Clarke said
CEO Joe Smolarski said WatchGuard’s goal is to make the company “the easiest company in cybersecurity to do business with.” He described Clarke’s appointment as a commitment to a more connected, frictionless partner experience.
Clarke said partners want to work through the routes and motions that suit them, and that her focus is making interactions with WatchGuard simple, consistent, and rewarding. She also said she looked forward to meeting partners at IMPACT in Nashville to hear how the company could improve the experience and help them grow. That was her stated intention at announcement time, not confirmation of what happened at the event.
