Which Wartune Ultra class should you choose?
Knight: S tier
Knight is Pocket Gamer’s top pick for players who want to stay alive and contribute from the front. It combines a large HP pool and durability with heavy physical damage in close combat. Its straightforward play style can make it a practical starting choice if you would rather focus on fighting than constant repositioning. The cost is lower mobility than the other classes, so it is not the best match if moving quickly is your priority.

Mage: A tier
Mage attacks from range with magic and has area-of-effect skills that can hit groups. Pocket Gamer also identifies self-healing as a strength and describes Mage as useful across varied content, particularly in teams. Compared with Knight, Mage is less tanky, so success depends more on noticing nearby enemies and managing position. Choose it if ranged magic and group damage appeal more than front-line durability.
Archer: B tier
Archer uses a bow for ranged physical attacks and can debuff enemies. The distance can suit players who do not want to fight up close, but the class is not tanky and Pocket Gamer characterizes it as more strategic to play well than Knight or Mage. Its B tier is the guide’s overall editorial placement, not evidence that Archer performs poorly in every situation.

Can you change class after starting?
Pocket Gamer says a character’s class cannot be changed after starting, and suggests changing servers and creating a new character if you want a different class. The official Wartune Ultra website does not independently confirm that mechanic in the material available at the official site, so treat the restart advice as Pocket Gamer’s guidance rather than a verified current in-game rule. Because that route may mean starting over, try out the available classes early if you are unsure which role suits you.
What the tier list does—and does not—tell you
The App Store listing also identifies Knight, Mage, and Archer among the game’s classes in PvP, corroborating the class names but not Pocket Gamer’s tiers. View the Wartune Ultra App Store listing. A legacy community-maintained Wartune classes wiki discusses class roles in Wartune generally; it is not current Wartune Ultra balance evidence and should not be used to override the newer game-specific guide.
