Warhammer+ is the paid membership; Warhammer TV is the video service included in that membership. The Warhammer TV app is simply one way to watch the shows and animations. A Warhammer+ subscription also adds premium Warhammer app access, the Warhammer Vault and subscriber rewards, so installing the TV app alone is not the same as joining Warhammer+.
The short answer: membership versus viewing service
These names describe different layers of the same offering. Warhammer+ is the subscription bundle operated by Games Workshop. Warhammer TV is the streaming catalog inside that bundle, and the Warhammer TV app is a client for playing that catalog on supported devices.

| Warhammer+ | A paid membership that combines video, premium app access, Vault reading material and subscriber rewards. | It is not just an app or a single TV channel. |
| Warhammer TV | The official shows and animations available through the membership. | It is not the complete set of Warhammer+ benefits. |
| Warhammer TV app | An app for watching Warhammer TV on compatible phones, tablets, televisions and streaming devices. | Downloading it does not by itself provide a separate free subscription. |
The official App Store description states that full Warhammer TV access is included with Warhammer+, alongside the other membership benefits. You can read the listing at Apple’s Warhammer TV listing.

What you get with Warhammer+
The membership is broader than a video subscription. The current official offer describes four main parts: Warhammer TV shows and animations, premium access to Warhammer apps, the Warhammer Vault, and subscriber rewards. The exact mix of rewards and the countries in which each feature is available can change, so the live membership page is the authority for your market.
Warhammer TV shows and animations
Warhammer TV covers several types of programming rather than one continuous channel. Official descriptions include animated fiction, battle reports, painting instruction and lore-focused programming. The current product page advertises more than 600 episodes across 20 shows; that is Games Workshop’s catalog description, not an independent count or a guarantee that every episode is available in every country at all times. Check the catalog after signing in if a specific series matters to you.
Premium Warhammer apps
Warhammer+ also grants premium access to Warhammer apps. The particular apps and available features can vary by region and may be updated over time. If your reason for subscribing is list building, rules access or another app function rather than video, inspect the current benefit list before paying.
The Warhammer Vault
The Vault is a digital library included with the membership. It extends the subscription beyond newly released video by providing access to Warhammer reading material. The official page describes Vault access as part of the bundle; it does not promise that every historical publication or every language edition is present in every territory.
Subscriber rewards and an annual miniature
Warhammer+ includes subscriber rewards, including an exclusive miniature associated with eligible membership periods. The App Store listing describes a free exclusive miniature every year, while the current membership page says that Year 6 rewards are available to claim from January 2027. Reward schedules, eligibility windows and regional availability are offer details, not permanent guarantees. Confirm the claim instructions and the reward shown on your account before subscribing for a miniature.

What Warhammer TV actually contains
Warhammer TV is best understood as the entertainment component of Warhammer+. It is not limited to animated stories. The catalog’s stated categories make the service relevant to different kinds of hobbyists:
- Animations: narrative films and series set in Warhammer universes.
- Battle reports: filmed games that demonstrate armies, tactics and tabletop play.
- Painting masterclasses: guided demonstrations for building and painting miniatures.
- Lore programming: explanatory shows about factions, settings and background.
The advertised “more than 600 episodes across 20 shows” figure is useful for understanding the scale of the current catalog, but it is a publisher-reported total. It should not be read as an audience statistic, a viewing-hours measurement or an assessment of quality. No independent audience or satisfaction figures are established in the official material.

Do you need the Warhammer+ app to watch Warhammer TV?
No single app is mandatory. The official membership page lists several access routes:
- Warhammer TV apps downloaded from Apple and Google app stores.
- The web player at WarhammerTV.com.
- Amazon Fire devices.
- Roku devices.
Support can differ by country, device model and operating-system version. The Apple listing confirms the TV app and its connection to Warhammer+ but does not establish that every television model or every country has identical support. Search your local app store and check the device list shown on the current membership page before buying a device specifically for this service.
Watching in a web browser
If you do not want to install an app, use the Warhammer TV web route named on the official page. Sign in with the account that holds your Warhammer+ membership, open the video catalog and start a program. Browser playback is also a practical fallback when a television app is unavailable or has not been updated.

Watching on a phone or tablet
Install the Warhammer TV app from the Apple or Google store serving your country. Open it, sign in with the Warhammer+ account and verify that the membership is recognized. Store availability and the exact app name can vary by territory, so use the publisher’s current listing rather than an old download link.
Watching on a television or streaming player
Look for the Warhammer TV app in the supported store on your television, Fire device or Roku player. Install it, launch it and complete the sign-in process shown on screen. If the app is missing, that usually indicates a regional or device-support limitation rather than a missing Warhammer+ subscription; use the web player or another listed device while you check local support.
How to subscribe and start watching
The labels and checkout screens can change, but the process follows this sequence:
- Open the official membership page for your country. The page at warhammerplus.com is a regional page; select the correct country or currency before comparing prices.
- Choose monthly or annual billing. The official offer lists both terms. Annual billing is promoted as 12 months for the price of nine, but the amount shown at checkout depends on your market and current offer.
- Create or sign in to your Games Workshop account. Use an account you can access on every device where you plan to watch.
- Review the local checkout details. Confirm currency, tax treatment, renewal timing, cancellation terms and any reward eligibility displayed for your territory.
- Complete payment and activate the membership. Keep the confirmation email or account page in case the app does not recognize the subscription immediately.
- Install a viewing route. Choose the Warhammer TV app, browser player, Fire or Roku option that your devices support.
- Sign in with the same account. A different email address can make a valid subscription appear to be missing.
- Check the benefits dashboard. Look for Vault access, premium app features and instructions for claiming any current subscriber reward.
Pricing, billing and regional availability
There is no single worldwide Warhammer+ price. The official page displays monthly and annual amounts in regional currencies, and the price can change. Do not rely on a launch-era figure or a price copied from another country. The 2021 overview on Warhammer Community is historical context only and should not be used as a current price list: Warhammer’s launch-era overview.
| Billing question | What is established | What you must verify locally |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly plan | The official membership page lists a monthly option. | Your currency, tax-inclusive total, renewal date and cancellation method. |
| Annual plan | The page promotes 12 months for the price of nine. | The actual annual amount, whether the promotion applies at checkout and the renewal price after the first term. |
| Country support | Not every feature is available in every country immediately. | Whether video, Vault, apps and rewards are available where you live. |
| Reward timing | The current page says Year 6 rewards can be claimed from January 2027. | Your membership’s qualifying period, claim deadline and local collection or delivery rules. |
Because these details are volatile, follow the offer shown for your country immediately before payment. A currency symbol or annual price from another region is not evidence of what you will be charged.

Is Warhammer+ worth it if you only want the shows?
If your only goal is video, the decision is straightforward: Warhammer TV is not sold as a separate equivalent subscription in the material describing the current offer. You join Warhammer+ and use Warhammer TV as the included viewing service. The value question is therefore whether the video catalog justifies the local membership price for you.
If you also use the Vault, premium apps or the annual reward, those benefits can affect your calculation. Treat the reward as an extra, not as a guaranteed cash discount: eligibility and timing depend on the offer attached to your account and country.
Choose monthly billing when
- You want to sample the catalog before committing to a longer term.
- You are unsure whether your devices or region support every feature.
- You expect to watch a particular release and then reassess.
Choose annual billing when
- You already know you will use the service for most of the year.
- The local checkout confirms the advertised 12-months-for-the-price-of-nine offer.
- You value ongoing access to the Vault, premium apps and the reward cycle.
These are budgeting choices, not different video libraries. The catalog and benefits shown at signup are the decisive evidence.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Painting content: do you need to buy paints?
No. Warhammer+ includes painting instruction, but paints and brushes are not prerequisites for subscribing or watching. The official Warhammer Colour pages present paint sets as a convenient way to follow tutorials because a set bundles selected paints with a brush and can have matching tutorial videos. See Warhammer Colour’s masterclass information and its getting-started guide for that optional hobby context.
You can watch a masterclass first, use supplies you already own, or buy individual colors. A paint set may reduce the effort of matching a tutorial’s palette, but it is a separate purchase and is not part of the Warhammer+ subscription.

Common problems and practical fixes
The app says you are not subscribed
- Sign out and back in with the exact account used at checkout.
- Check the membership status on the official website, not only inside the app.
- Update the app from your device’s store, then restart it.
- If you used a different email address or a social sign-in, repeat the login with the account shown on the receipt.
The Warhammer TV app is unavailable in your store
Store listings are regional. Confirm that your country and device are supported on the current membership page, then try the web player named by the service. Do not install an unofficial package or change store regions solely to bypass availability; doing so can create account, payment and update problems.
A show or benefit is missing
Catalogs and benefits can differ by country and can change as the service is updated. Verify the title in the current catalog, check that you are signed into the correct account and read the regional notes on the membership page. A missing Vault item or reward instruction is not necessarily a billing error.
Playback works on one device but not another
Use a supported route listed by the service: a current mobile app, the browser player, Fire or Roku. Update the operating system and app, restart the device and test the web player. If only one older television model fails, the limitation is likely device compatibility rather than the membership itself.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Warhammer TV versus Warhammer+: a decision checklist
Use the following checklist before subscribing:
- Do you want the broader membership or only access to a particular show?
- Is the current local monthly or annual amount visible at checkout acceptable?
- Does your preferred phone, television or streaming player support one of the listed access routes?
- Will you use the Vault or premium Warhammer apps?
- Are the current reward’s eligibility and claim dates clear for your country?
- Are you treating painting supplies as optional rather than as a subscription requirement?
If the answer to the first question is “the broader membership,” Warhammer+ is the product to purchase. If the answer is “I just need a way to play the videos,” install the Warhammer TV app or use the web player after subscribing; the app is an access method, not a competing membership.
Bottom line
Warhammer+ is the paid bundle. Warhammer TV is the included catalog of official shows and animations, and the Warhammer TV app is one of several ways to view it. Before paying, confirm the live price, supported devices, country-specific features and current reward terms on the official membership page. That distinction prevents the most common misunderstanding: downloading the app is not the same thing as buying the membership.
