The developer describes the difference this way: “Each character comes with unique weapons and starting stats – no two survivors play the same.” VainSoftGames’ official game page does not publish a full stat breakdown or explain how those differences translate into exact performance, so use the starting kit as a comparison point rather than a guaranteed ranking.

The game brings together characters and settings from Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Its October 2026 announcement describes a roster of over 40 playable characters and more than 70 weapons. Compare the starting weapon and stats
Look first at what a character brings into a run: the starting weapon and listed stats. Pick a kit whose opening feels appealing to you. Until the game publishes fuller details or reliable performance evidence becomes available, avoid treating a stat or weapon difference as proof of an objectively easier or stronger choice.

Use the demo to compare the announced heroes
The demo announcement names two heroes: the Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Revenya. If the demo is available to you, try both and observe how their starting weapons and stats affect your own opening decisions. How to build a stronger run
Adapt after the opening
A character’s starting kit is the beginning of a run, not a complete build. The official overview says that defeating waves earns experience and gives opportunities to gain weapons and power-ups. Make later choices in response to what the run offers instead of assuming the starting weapon dictates a fixed route. The available official description does not spell out specific synergies, upgrade rules, or an optimal sequence. Warhammer Community’s game overview describes this high-level progression.

Keep in-run choices separate from long-term unlocks
Weapons and power-ups are choices made as a run develops. Separately, the official overview says players can unlock characters, upgrades, weapon combinations, and secrets across runs. Think of those unlocks as expanding future options, not as a substitute for adapting to the choices available in the current run. The announcement does not specify exact unlock conditions.

As of October 7, 2026, Warhammer Survivors is announced to launch on November 10, 2026. The October 6 demo announcement says the new demo is available on Steam and Xbox for PC; the release date and demo platform details are time-sensitive.
