Was ist Chaos Siege?
Chaos Siege ist ein PvE-Modus aus Patch 15, auch Anniversary Update II genannt. Spieler übernehmen darin Chaos Space Marines. Focus Entertainment beschrieb das Update am 1. Oktober 2026 als den ersten Auftritt von Chaos Space Marines in den PvE-Spielen von Space Marine 2. Das ist eine Aussage über PvE, nicht darüber, dass Chaos nun in der gesamten Kampagne oder in jedem Spielmodus spielbar wäre.

Focus Entertainment bezeichnet Patch 15 als kostenloses Update und nennt PS5, Xbox Series X|S und PC als Plattformen. Chaos Siege gehört zu diesem Update. Der Publisher führt Season Pass 3 und seine kosmetischen Pakete gesondert auf; sie werden nicht als Voraussetzung für den Modus genannt.

Was steckt sonst in Patch 15?
- Crucible System: optionale Missionsherausforderungen auf Basis von Penances. Laut Publisher bringen sie Debuffs und andere negative Modifikatoren; erfolgreiche Missionen führen auf dem Weg zu Belohnungen, darunter ein Lamenters-Rüstungsset.
- Einhandiger Donnerhammer: für die Klassen Tactical, Assault, Bulwark und Techmarine. Außerdem kommen Varianten für Power Axe, Auto Bolt Rifle und den Hammer sowie neue Rüstungsteile hinzu.
- Season Pass 3: enthält das Space Wolves Champion Pack und das Exorcists Cosmetic Pack. Diese kosmetischen Inhalte sind vom kostenlosen Update getrennt.
Was ist für später angekündigt?
In seinem Community-Update vom September 2026 kündigte der Publisher den Apothecary für Patch 17 im ersten Quartal 2027 an. Ebenfalls aufgeführt sind fünf kosmetische beziehungsweise Champion-Pakete für Year 3 sowie weitere Spielinhalte. Das sind angekündigte Pläne, keine Bestandteile des bereits veröffentlichten Patch 15; Zeitpläne können sich ändern. Die Mitteilungen erscheinen im offiziellen Steam-Ankündigungsbereich zu Space Marine 2.

Der Videospielmodus benötigt weder Miniaturen noch ein Warhammer-Tabletop-Regelwerk. Wer sich unabhängig davon für die Chaos-Space-Marines-Fraktion im Tabletop interessiert, findet bei Games Workshop ein offizielles Fraktionspaket für Chaos Space Marines; das Dokument nennt seine Inhalte als ab dem 20. Juni 2026 für Matched Play zugelassen. Das hat keinen Einfluss auf den Zugang zu Chaos Siege.
