WARDOGS Season 2 launched on 15 October 2026 with a progression wipe, but its new Driver track advanced about 40–50% faster than the other roles in early data. BULKHEAD attributed the gap to logistics-streak tuning combined with an abused exploit, allowing some players to reach the first tank milestone within hours and create an uneven opening-day battlefield.
Why players were already using tanks
Season 2 restarted progression for everyone. That made the Driver level-20 T-72B3 especially visible: squads that reached the milestone could field a tank while most players were still rebuilding basic role progression. The current Season 2 progression guide lists the unlock at 111,500 Driver XP plus a $250,000 in-game fee.

Seeing a tank on the first day does not, by itself, prove cheating. Some players reportedly reached the requirement through long, legitimate logistics sessions. The unusual speed came from two overlapping conditions: streak rewards were spaced differently from Season 1, and an exploit appears to have produced extra XP or repeated streak credit.

BULKHEAD’s studio update said Driver progression was running around 40–50% faster than the other role tracks in early Season 2 data. The developer blamed logistics-streak tuning and “an abused exploit,” then applied a temporary backend correction that moved streak spacing back toward Season 1. A further hotfix was planned, but the studio has not published a definitive post-fix progression rate.
#1 Best Overall
That wording matters: there is no public per-action XP table, complete incident report or authoritative reproduction sequence. The 40–50% figure describes early Season 2 data, not a guaranteed rate for every Driver or a permanent season-wide bonus.
What the exploit reportedly did
Community discussions describe players repeatedly depositing supplies near, or apparently outside, a control zone or spawn area. According to those accounts, the placement could trigger unusually large Driver-XP awards or repeat logistics-streak credit. Other commenters disagree about the exact trigger, and no official source has confirmed a safe, repeatable sequence.
Because the implementation remains unverified, reproducing community instructions is risky. A method that worked before a server-side adjustment may now fail, produce different rewards or be treated as intentional abuse. Players should not use an unconfirmed XP loop as a farming guide.

| Milestone | Requirement reported for Season 2 | Why it mattered on launch day |
|---|---|---|
| T-72B3 | Driver level 20; 111,500 XP; $250,000 unlock fee | A visible, high-impact vehicle became available while most players were still at the start of the wiped progression track. |
The wipe removed the usual advantage of established accounts. Any acceleration was therefore immediately observable in public matches: a few early tanks could encounter infantry and vehicles that had not yet unlocked comparable counters. That explains reports of teams being “stomped” without implying that every early tank user exploited the system.

What changed in the response
Temporary streak correction
BULKHEAD changed backend streak spacing to move rewards toward the Season 1 pattern. This was a mitigation, not a published final balance specification.
Additional hotfix planned
The studio said another hotfix was planned to address the remaining issue. Until the developer publishes the final values, players cannot reliably calculate an ordinary unlock time from the early-season 40–50% comparison.

Lonestar cash and XP experiment removed
BULKHEAD also removed the Season 2 Lonestar cash/XP experiment, which had been introduced while addressing the Blue faction’s lower win rate. GamesRadar quoted the studio saying, “One team had a notoriously lower win rate than the other two teams.” That balance experiment was separate from the Driver exploit, but its removal reduced another source of unusual launch-period progression.

Could exploiters be banned or reset?
Earlier Update 0.1.2 established the relevant enforcement policy. Its fixes made revive validity server-controlled, capped vehicle fly-through rewards, scaled buildable-destruction rewards by construction progress and reduced rewards for depositing pallets into a FOB outside the zone. BULKHEAD warned that repeatedly exploiting unintended cash or XP gains could lead to permanent bans; previous offenders could have progression and cash reset.
Best Value
No authoritative public report gives a definitive ban count for the Season 2 Driver incident. The documented policy means resets or bans are possible, but readers should not assume that every player who unlocked a tank quickly has been punished or that a particular account has been reset unless BULKHEAD confirms it.
How fast can you unlock the T-72B3 now?
The only firm published inputs are the level-20 gate, 111,500 XP requirement and $250,000 fee. BULKHEAD has not released a verified post-correction XP-per-match figure or a guaranteed number of hours. Unlock time therefore depends on legitimate match performance, logistics activity, streak state, queue time and any later balance changes.
- Before the correction: early data showed Driver progression about 40–50% ahead of other roles, with exploit activity contributing to the difference.
- After the temporary correction: streak spacing was moved toward Season 1, but the final rate was not stated.
- For legitimate players: use normal logistics objectives and expect the published XP requirement and fee to remain the relevant gate unless a later patch changes them.
What players should watch for next
- A patch note stating the final streak interval and XP values.
- Server-side corrections to abnormal deposits or repeated streak awards.
- Account-action announcements that identify whether resets or bans occurred.
- Updated progression documentation if the T-72B3 cost, level or XP requirement changes.
For now, the clearest conclusion is that Season 2’s opening-day tank rush was real, but its causes were mixed: unusually generous logistics tuning, an apparently abused exploit and legitimate high-volume play all occurred at once. The exact exploit and the final corrected unlock speed remain unconfirmed.
