VRadio is the Android Auto app behind the “thousands of stations” pitch: its Google Play listing says it offers tens of thousands of radio stations, and its developer says the directory has over 30,000. Those are publisher claims, not an independently verified count. The listing and developer site both state that the app supports Android Auto, but that does not guarantee it will appear or work with every phone, account, car or region.
What VRadio offers for Android Auto
Google Play lists the app as VRadio – Online Radio App, published by Voulimiotis Ioannis. Its listing and the developer’s site describe Android Auto support for controlling playback in the car. Google explains that Android Auto works with compatible media apps, while noting that visibility in Google Play can depend on being signed in to a Google Account with personalization enabled. The station directory is the central draw if you want to listen beyond local broadcast signals. Features beyond station browsing
The Google Play listing describes features for organizing and controlling listening, including favorites and folders, station categories, song information when a station supplies it, a five-band equalizer, alarms, a sleep timer, and widgets. Feature availability can vary by platform and listing version, so check the current listing for the Android app before relying on a particular option.

What to check before relying on it in your car
- Confirm app visibility: Look for VRadio in Android Auto’s media apps. Google says some compatible apps may only appear in Play when you are signed in to a Google Account with personalization enabled.
- Check the station you want: A large directory does not guarantee that a particular station is listed, online, or available in your region. The listing also supports custom stations when you have the stream URL.
- Expect internet streaming: Online radio requires a data connection; VRadio’s listing includes a data-use measurement feature, but the sources do not establish typical usage rates.
- Review current terms: Google Play shows ads and in-app purchases. The available listing does not establish a specific price or purchase terms.
Who VRadio may suit
VRadio is a reasonable app to investigate if your priority is browsing international online stations through Android Auto, rather than limiting listening to local over-the-air reception. Its listed discovery and organization features may help if you want to browse categories, save favorites, or enter a known stream URL. The available information establishes product claims and listed features, not the quality or reliability of any particular station stream or a firsthand comparison with local radio.
