No VPN can be relied on to unlock NFL Game Pass. The international version of the service is sold through DAZN, and DAZN states in its help material that using a VPN to subscribe from another country breaks its terms and will be blocked by its technology. A VPN ranking that promises uninterrupted touchdown-by-touchdown access would therefore be promising something the service’s own rules rule out. This guide explains which official option applies to you, what DAZN says about VPNs, and how to compare VPN and router products on criteria you can check yourself.
Start with the official service for your location
Your choice of service depends on where you live, not on which VPN you use. The NFL’s September 30, 2026 support guidance says international fans can watch through NFL Game Pass International on DAZN, subject to local availability, and it asks viewers to confirm their official broadcaster or streaming partner for their country. The NFL’s 2026 viewing guidance also separates U.S. services from international options and notes that broadcast rights vary by market.

| Option | Where it is offered | What the source says | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| NFL+ | United States only | Available only in the U.S. Viewers outside the U.S. are directed to DAZN, so NFL+ is not an international substitute. | NFL support material, referenced in the NFL’s 2026 guidance |
| NFL Game Pass International on DAZN | International markets, subject to local availability | Live games through the season, replays, highlights, and other programming. The NFL says it is available in more than 200 markets; that is the league’s own published count, not an independent one. | NFL 2026 explainer; NFL support guidance dated September 30, 2026 |
| Local broadcast options | Varies by country | Broadcast availability depends on local rights. Check the NFL’s country guidance for your market; the source does not list every broadcaster. | NFL 2026 viewing guidance |
If you are in the U.S., the relevant question is which U.S. broadcast or NFL+ option covers the games you want. If you are elsewhere, DAZN’s country availability decides whether NFL Game Pass International is offered to you at all.
What DAZN says about using a VPN
DAZN’s English help page on global portability says NFL Game Pass subscribers can use the service worldwide, with exceptions that include the United States, Canada, and China. On VPNs, the page states: “Using a VPN to subscribe to NFL GPI from another country is against DAZN’s terms and conditions and will be blocked by our technology.”

That sentence is narrow. It concerns subscribing from another country through a VPN. It is not a general statement about every VPN use, and it does not describe how the service treats every existing subscriber or every trip abroad. Two separate things are at play:
- DAZN’s terms. Its rules define which countries the subscription is sold for. Using a VPN to appear to be somewhere you are not, in order to subscribe, runs against those terms.
- The technical side. A VPN changes the IP address and route your traffic appears to come from. That is why geolocation checks can fail, and why DAZN says its technology will block such use.
NordVPN’s troubleshooting page for DAZN makes a related point. It acknowledges that users may see VPN errors or fail to load content on DAZN, and it says DAZN’s library is generally determined by the billing address provided at signup. Vendor troubleshooting pages are not a promise of access, and nothing in them overrides DAZN’s terms.

Why this guide does not rank five VPNs for NFL Game Pass
The evidence available for this 2026 update does not support a ranking of five VPNs by their ability to stream NFL Game Pass. The points that would matter most are missing:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- No independent, dated test of NFL Game Pass playback through a named VPN was identified.
- Provider server counts and country lists do not predict whether a stream will load, and they are not a measure of quality.
- Success with another streaming library does not show that a VPN works with NFL Game Pass or DAZN.
A list that ranks services by “never miss a touchdown” performance would need test results that do not exist in the evidence. This guide therefore gives you a method for comparing VPNs and a profile of the providers whose official pages were reviewed, rather than a ranking.

What to compare if you are shortlisting a VPN
If you want a VPN for general privacy or for devices in your home, compare providers on these criteria:
- Server coverage in your home market. Use the provider’s live location list and note the date you checked it. A high country count does not show that the locations you need are reliable.
- Apps and device support. Confirm the exact TV, phone, browser, console, or streaming stick you use. Some products have no native app for that device.
- Router support. Check the supported router models, the setup steps, and whether one router will cover all the devices you need.
- Privacy and security documentation. Look for current technical documentation or independent audits. Treat unsourced “best” or “safest” claims as marketing.
- Streaming performance. If a provider publishes test results, check the service, location, date, device, plan, and limitations. Do not read a result for another streaming service as NFL Game Pass compatibility.
- Terms. Read the streaming service’s terms next to any VPN plan. For NFL Game Pass International, DAZN’s terms apply.
Router-based setups: what they can and cannot do
A router-level VPN sends every device on your Wi-Fi through the VPN. This can help with smart TVs, consoles, and streaming devices that have no VPN app. It does not change DAZN’s rules, and it does not guarantee that a stream will play.

It describes its Fortify router as ready to use with built-in ExpressVPN capability, and says users can group devices across up to five server locations. If you already subscribe through DAZN, DAZN’s global-portability help page says the service can be used worldwide, with listed exceptions. Those exceptions include the United States, Canada, and China. The official portability rules apply to the subscription itself. They are different from using a VPN to create a subscription from another country, which DAZN says is blocked. Check the current DAZN country page before you travel, because exceptions and terms can change.
If you do not have a subscription, the practical route is to buy the service that is offered in the country where you live. Switching location with a VPN to access a different market’s offer is the situation DAZN’s terms address directly.
