Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →If you mean no payment details at all, the clearest time-limited option in the available provider terms is CyberGhost’s 24-hour trial for Windows and macOS. Proton VPN’s Free plan is another no-card choice, but it is an ongoing free tier—not a premium trial. Several other offers require payment details, and one provider’s advertised no-card offer lacks enough published detail here to verify its duration or limits. So these five options are not five equivalent, card-free trials.
What “no credit card” means for a VPN trial
A service can say “no credit card” while still asking for another payment method, such as PayPal or Apple Pay. If you want to avoid entering any billing details, look for an offer that explicitly says no payment method is required. Also distinguish a time-limited premium trial from an ongoing free plan and from a money-back guarantee: the latter usually involves paying first and requesting a refund under the provider’s terms.

Four VPN offers, with the payment requirements made clear
| Offer | What is documented | Payment details | Key qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| CyberGhost VPN | 24 hours on Windows and macOS; 7 days on iOS; 3 days on Android | None for the Windows/macOS trial; a payment method is required for mobile trials | Premium access during the trial; duration and payment requirement vary by platform. Official trial terms |
| Proton VPN Free | Ongoing Free plan | No credit card required | A free tier, not a time-limited premium trial. Current feature and server limits are not specified here. Free-versus-paid comparison; Account setup |
| PrivadoVPN | Official download page advertises a free trial and says no credit card is required | No credit card required, according to the page | Duration, data allowance, device limits, and whether this is a trial or standing free tier are not established. Official download page |
| NordVPN | 7-day trial for eligible new users on specified plans in listed countries | Requires credit card or PayPal | Automatically converts to a paid plan unless canceled before the trial ends. Eligibility and plan restrictions apply. Official trial terms |
Which option fits your situation?
You want to test premium service without entering payment details
Choose CyberGhost’s Windows or macOS route if 24 hours is enough to check setup and basic usability. The offer is platform-specific: its iOS and Android trials require a payment method, so do not assume the desktop terms apply on a phone.

Consider Proton VPN Free. It does not require a credit card, but it is a free plan rather than a temporary pass to all paid features. Check Proton’s current comparison before deciding whether its tier meets your needs.

You are considering PrivadoVPN’s no-card offer
The provider’s download page advertises a no-credit-card free trial, but the available terms do not establish how long it lasts or what usage and feature restrictions apply. Confirm those details on the live offer before relying on it; do not infer that it is unlimited or equivalent to premium access.
You can provide a payment method for a longer test
NordVPN documents a seven-day offer, but it does not meet a strict no-payment-details standard. NordVPN requires a card or PayPal and has country, plan, and new-customer conditions. Read the checkout terms carefully before starting the offer.

How to avoid an unexpected charge
- Check the exact platform and offer. Confirm whether you are signing up through a desktop website or a mobile app, since the CyberGhost trial terms differ by platform.
- Read the payment and eligibility conditions before checkout. Verify whether the offer requires any payment method, whether your country and plan qualify, and whether it is limited to new customers.
- Record the end date and cancellation method. For an offer that converts automatically, cancel before the stated expiry if you do not want a paid subscription. NordVPN’s support page says its seven-day trial converts unless canceled in time.
- Keep confirmation of signup and cancellation. Save the confirmation email or account-page status so you can resolve a billing dispute with the provider if necessary.
Why a 30-day money-back offer is not the same thing
ExpressVPN’s official page describes a risk-free 30-day offer and lists payment methods beyond credit cards, including PayPal, Bitcoin, and UnionPay. That does not establish access without payment details: a refund promise is different from a no-payment-details trial. Check the current offer terms before treating it as a way to test a service without paying upfront. ExpressVPN offer page

Bottom line on four VPN free trials
For a strict no-payment-details test, CyberGhost’s 24-hour Windows/macOS trial is the clearest documented time-limited option here. Proton VPN Free is the clearest ongoing no-card alternative. PrivadoVPN advertises a no-card offer, but its duration and restrictions are not established; NordVPN’s documented seven-day offer requires payment details.
