The available public specifications describe its size, reach and included tools, but CHOICE keeps the expert rating and detailed performance results behind member access. That means its exposed data can help you assess fit and ownership needs, but cannot support a definitive verdict on how well it cleans.
What the UVE4120FL specifications show
CHOICE classifies the UVE4120FL as a barrel vacuum with a bin. Its listing records 2200 W stated power and 1590 W measured power; the figures describe different measures and should not be treated as interchangeable. CHOICE also records a 1.1 L measured dust-collector volume and 8.3 m reach from the power point. The page lists China as the country of origin. CHOICE’s UVE4120FL page marks the model discontinued and records $199.00, not a current price.

| Specification | Published figure | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Type and dust collection | Barrel; bin | CHOICE listing |
| Power | 2200 W stated; 1590 W measured | CHOICE listing |
| Dust-collector volume | 1.1 L measured | CHOICE listing |
| Reach from power point | 8.3 m | CHOICE listing |
| Weight | 6.9 kg | CHOICE listing |
| Weight | 6.5 kg | Appliances Online product page; the source does not explain the difference from CHOICE’s figure |
| Warranty | Two years | Appliances Online product page |
The weights conflict: CHOICE lists 6.9 kg, while Appliances Online’s product page lists 6.5 kg. The available product information does not explain whether this reflects different measurement methods or configurations, so neither figure should be silently substituted for the other.

Can the available review evidence establish cleaning performance?
No overall performance verdict can be drawn from the exposed specifications. CHOICE lists its expert rating and results for cleaning performance, carpet cleaning, ease of use, pet hair, edge cleaning, noise, reliability and satisfaction as member-only. The accessible page does not show those scores, so it would be misleading to assign the vacuum a rating or claim that it excels at a particular task.
#1 Best Overall
- 20.3kPa Powerful Suction — High-efficiency BLDC motor delivers deep cleaning on hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpets. Ideal for deep cleaning.
- Up to 50-Min Runtime + Detachable Battery — Clean up to 1,345 sq ft on one charge (Mid Mode). Battery detaches for easy replacement and extended cleaning.

Appliances Online displays two historical customer reviews, dated 2017 and 2018, and a 4.5 overall rating. One reviewer praised suction and build quality but commented on cord length and power-dial control; another described the machine as compact and easy to use. That small, older set of retailer reviews is anecdotal, not evidence of typical performance or reliability.

How to set up and use the vacuum
The UVE4120FL user manual, printed 2 July 2012, gives this basic setup sequence:
Rank #3
- POWER AND ENDURANCE: up to 15min of powerful and intelligent cleaning in Auto Mode with MicroClean Brush, plus up to 60min in Eco Mode with the handheld
- CONFIRMS WHEN IT'S REALLY CLEAN: See the difference between clean vs. thoroughly cleaned floors. The MicroClean Ring illuminates a blue light when virtually no more particles are left on the surface
- IDEAL FOR THOSE WITH ALLERGIES: With HEPA filtration³, over 99.99%⁴ of dust particles, including allergens, are filtered and prevented from being released back into the room
- >99.9% DUST PICK-UP¹: MicroClean Brush with LED lights detects fine dust in dark areas and removes the smallest particles down to 0.3 microns from all floor types.
- AVOID DUST CLOUDS + 50% LESS FREQUENT EMPTYING: Compression slider packs dust inside the bin to help avoid dust clouds and allows you to empty the bin up to 50% less often²
- Make sure the dust container is in place.
- Click the hose into the vacuum’s inlet.
- Connect the telescopic tube and the selected nozzle.
- Plug the vacuum in and switch it on.
Adjust suction with the variable power control on the vacuum. The manual also describes a slide valve on the hose handle for adjusting airflow.
Choose the floor-tool setting for the surface
On the combination nozzle, retract the brush strip for carpet and lower it for hard floors. The separate hard-floor nozzle is described as suitable for larger hard-floor areas.
Rank #4
- New, slimline version fits most kitchens under the cabinets
- Powerful Suction-5 times the power of most hand-held vacuums
- Re-usable bags-never buy bags again
- Optional Extendable hose & accessories kit(sold separately)
- Easy to install-Just 30 minutes to fit(cutout template included)
How to check and clean the filters
Check the filter indicator before cleaning. The manual’s instruction is direct: “If the indicator is red, clean the filter.” A red indicator is a prompt to clean the filter, not by itself a diagnosis that the filter is the only cause of reduced suction.
The manual’s troubleshooting guidance connects a persistent indicator or reduced suction with several possible causes: a full dust container, clogged filters, or a blocked hose or nozzle. Empty the container and check for obstructions; clean or replace filters as appropriate to their condition. The manual does not establish which currently sold replacement filter is compatible, so confirm compatibility with the exact UVE4120FL model number before ordering.

- Some aerosol household products use flammable propellants. Do not spray them into the vacuum or its filters, hose assembly or dust chamber.
What to check before buying or keeping one
Because the model is discontinued, treat any listing as a second-hand or remaining-stock opportunity and verify availability directly. If comparing it with another barrel vacuum, useful points are bin capacity, reach, weight, floor-tool configuration, filtration, and whether compatible filters and parts can actually be sourced. For a used unit, inspect the dust container, filters, hose, cord, floor tools and suction controls; the cited product pages do not establish current replacement-part availability.
