Its S tier includes 17 entries, but this is an editorial ranking—not an official developer list or a guarantee that one style is best for every player. Use it as a dated starting point, then compare role, mechanics, availability, and the way you prefer to play.
What is the latest Volleyball Legends tier list?
Pocket Gamer’s September 4, 2026 ranking identifies Shiro and Roketto as additions and places the following styles in S tier:

Why do tier lists disagree?
There is no official developer tier list in the sources reviewed. Rankings are editorial or community judgments, and different publishers use different criteria and snapshots. Do not combine them into a single consensus ranking.

The community-maintained Volleyball Legends Wiki style ranking labels its snapshot “July 27, 2026 Update 80” and explicitly says the rankings are not official developer data. Its shown S-tier entries include Hidari, Encho, Twins, Kijo, Jinko, Ronin, Kisuki, Sanju, Taichou, Timeskip Kyamo, Timeskip Okazu, and Akari. That differs from Pocket Gamer’s list.
Claude Gaming’s page carries an October 2026 headline but says it was last checked August 17, 2026. It places Ronin, Hidari, Jinko, Timeskip Hinto, and Timeskip Kyamo in S tier and says its ranking weighs stat spreads and competitive performance. The displayed check date predates Pocket Gamer’s September 4 update, so the headline alone does not make it a later meta snapshot.

How to choose a style for your role
An overall tier is only one input. The Wiki offers role views for spikers, setters, liberos, and blockers; compare the style’s fit and signature mechanic with the job you want to do.
- Spiker: prioritize the traits and mechanics that support the kind of attack you use.
- Setter: consider how a style’s setting mechanic fits the timing and control you want. The Wiki describes Timeskip Kyamo as a setter with Super Set float control; treat that as community reference, not independently verified testing.
- Libero or blocker: consult the relevant role view rather than assuming an overall S-tier attacker is your best fit.
- All-rounder: weigh the role flexibility you need against a specialist’s strengths.
Role labels and mechanics above reflect community-maintained descriptions, not official developer measurements. Pocket Gamer also notes that styles can excel at different traits, such as serving or jumping, and advises players to account for what they enjoy doing.

Check availability before planning around a style
A style’s tier does not establish that it can be obtained now. The Wiki recommends checking documented return history for limited or event-linked styles instead of planning around an unannounced banner. Availability can change, and the sources cited here do not establish the complete style pool or availability after September 4, 2026.

The community Wiki snapshot is dated July 27, while Claude Gaming’s October-labeled page reports an August 17 last-check date.
