Vixen 357 is planned for Steam sometime in 2026, but the store page does not give a launch day and still lists the game as unavailable. The 1992 Japanese Mega Drive tactical RPG pairs turn-based mech battles with permanent losses; its planned PC release advertises modern convenience features and three interface and subtitle languages.
Is Vixen 357 coming to Steam in 2026?
Yes. Steam currently gives Vixen 357 a planned release year of 2026, with no specific date, and marks it as not yet available. That is a plan, not confirmation that the game has launched. Steam credits Extreme as developer and Ratalaika Games S.L. and Shinyuden as publishers. Steam’s store listing describes the PC release as a sci-fi simulation game and lists Windows 10, a 64-bit processor, and a 64-bit operating system as minimum requirements.

What kind of game is Vixen 357?
Vixen 357 is a tactical strategy RPG built around turn-based mech combat on grid maps. The original Japanese Mega Drive release was on October 23, 1992. Gematsu credits NSC Corporation as the original developer and Masaya Games as the original publisher; those are distinct from the companies credited for the planned Steam release. Gematsu’s listing also identifies Shinyuden with the 2026 re-release.

How battles and pilot assignments work
Game*Spark reports that the game has 16 maps. Pilots can be assigned freely to VECTOR mechs, and equipment or weapons can vary by mech. On each map, players move units and attack to fulfil its victory condition. The freedom to configure pilot-and-mech combinations comes with a serious risk: defeated pilots and machines are permanently lost, making assignments and tactical decisions consequential in later battles. Game*Spark’s coverage describes the maps and loss system; Steam’s summary also calls out permadeath and the ability to assign any VECTOR to any character.
Steam version or physical Mega Drive/Genesis cartridge?
The Steam release and the physical edition are different ways to access the game. Steam is the planned PC version, with advertised convenience features and language support. Shinyuden lists an English physical cartridge edition for compatible Mega Drive/Genesis systems, packaged with collector items.
