Which has the better display?
The T5 Pro 5G has the larger panel at 6.83 inches and lists a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. The Y500 Pro’s 6.67-inch AMOLED display is rated up to 120Hz. Both list the same 2800 × 1260 resolution. A higher maximum refresh rate can support smoother motion where the phone and app use it, but it does not establish superior brightness, color calibration, or smoothness in every situation.

Which has the bigger battery, and how fast do they charge?
vivo lists the T5 Pro 5G at 9020mAh, compared with 7000mAh typical and 6870mAh rated for the Y500 Pro. Both list 90W charging. That makes the T5 Pro 5G the higher-capacity choice by specification, but capacity alone does not prove longer battery life: usage, software, display settings, and other factors affect endurance. The available figures do not provide a comparable independent battery test.
What are the camera differences?
The Y500 Pro lists a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), while the T5 Pro 5G lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera. Each also has a 2MP bokeh rear camera and a 32MP front camera. These specifications describe hardware, not comparative image quality. Which is smaller and lighter?
The Y500 Pro is the more compact and lighter phone by the listed measurements: 160.23 × 74.51 × 7.81mm and 198.6g, versus 163.73 × 76.18 × 8.25mm and 213g for the T5 Pro 5G. Those figures establish a size difference, not how comfortable either phone feels in a particular hand.

No. vivo’s official materials advertise IP68/IP69 ratings for both models, but these are protection ratings, not a recommendation to expose a phone deliberately to water. vivo India says resistance can diminish with daily use and liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Check the applicable local warranty terms before relying on any water-resistance claim.

The published prices are from different markets and currencies, so subtracting them or ranking them as a direct value comparison would be misleading. vivo China’s Y500 Pro specification page lists these China launch prices by configuration:

- Consider the T5 Pro 5G if the India-market model is the one you can buy and its larger stated battery, larger display, or higher maximum refresh rate matters most to you.
