The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has the stronger listed display, processor and rear-camera range, plus a larger battery. The vivo Y400 5G supports faster peak wired charging and had the lower surfaced price for its 8GB+128GB listing. The price figures are not confirmed like-for-like checkout offers, so check the same storage tier and final price before choosing.

Which phone has the better performance and display?
Processor and memory
On the listed processor tier, the Edge 70 Fusion’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is the stronger-class chip compared with the Y400’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. That points to the Motorola as the more capable choice on paper for demanding apps and games, but these specifications alone do not establish benchmark scores or real-world speed. The Motorola also offers a 12GB RAM option; the Y400 is listed with 8GB.

The Edge 70 Fusion has the larger, higher-resolution panel and a listed refresh rate of up to 144Hz, versus up to 120Hz on the Y400. That gives Motorola the paper advantage for screen detail and maximum refresh rate. A 120Hz rate is not available in all Y400 usage scenarios, and neither maximum rate guarantees that every app or activity will run at that setting.

Battery capacity and charging: larger battery or higher peak wattage?
Motorola lists a 7,000mAh battery, compared with the Y400’s 6,000mAh typical capacity. The Y400, however, supports up to 90W charging, above the Edge 70 Fusion’s 68W TurboPower rating. Capacity and maximum charging wattage do not by themselves establish actual battery life or charging time; no independent endurance or charging tests are available here.
Which phone has the more versatile cameras?
The Edge 70 Fusion’s rear setup includes a 13MP ultrawide camera with macro capability alongside its 50MP main camera, which is listed with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The Y400 has a 50MP and 2MP rear-camera arrangement. Motorola therefore offers more listed rear-camera flexibility, particularly for wider framing. Both phones list a 32MP front camera. Megapixel counts and the presence of extra lenses do not establish which phone takes better photos; no comparative camera testing is available.

Water resistance, durability claims and box contents
Protection claims
vivo says the Y400’s IP68 and IP69 ratings are under IEC 60529. Its stated underwater-photography conditions are fresh water, up to two metres deep and up to 30 minutes per use. vivo also says to dry the phone before charging and that liquid-immersion damage is not covered by warranty. Motorola lists IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD 810H for the Edge 70 Fusion, while warning that specifications may vary by market. Ratings and durability labels are not guarantees against damage; follow each manufacturer’s use and warranty terms.
Included accessories
The vivo listing says the box includes a charger, cable, case and pre-applied protective film, among other items. Motorola lists a USB-C cable, SIM tool, guides and a 68W charger. Check the retailer’s regional package listing, since included items can depend on the configuration or market.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion if you want the stronger listed processor tier, higher-resolution and faster-refresh display, larger stated battery capacity, or an ultrawide rear camera.
- Choose the vivo Y400 5G if the verified price for your preferred configuration is lower and you value its higher maximum wired charging rating.
Both manufacturers list Android versions, but no separately verified software-update duration or commitment is established here. Treat the choice as a comparison of listed hardware and confirmed local price, not a verdict based on unreported testing.
