When vivo India’s own store was checked on 4 October 2026, the 8GB+256GB version was listed at ₹25,999 and the 8GB+128GB version at ₹23,999, though the 128GB listing showed as unavailable. Those are store-displayed figures for that date, not a guaranteed stock position or final checkout price. The launch prices, which are older, were ₹18,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹20,999 for 8GB+256GB.
Price in India by storage variant
Two sets of prices exist for this phone, and they answer different questions. The launch prices come from vivo’s India newsroom announcement in 2025. The store prices come from vivo’s India e-store as checked on 4 October 2026. Keep them separate when you compare.

The store figures are the amounts the page displayed on that day. They do not show whether a unit can be shipped, what discounts or bank offers apply at checkout, or whether the price has moved since. Because the 128GB listing was unavailable, a buyer wanting that variant should check the store again before planning around it.

Display
The panel is an LCD, not an OLED, and vivo’s listing describes it as a full-rectangle design. The usable display area is slightly smaller than the nominal 6.72-inch figure, so measure expectations against the visible area rather than the diagonal alone.
The 120Hz refresh rate is available only in apps or games that support it. vivo’s parameter page also says the higher rate does not apply in every scenario, so do not expect 120Hz to be constant across everything you open. The 1050-nit HBM figure applies under a specific high-ambient-light condition, which vivo’s footnote defines as ambient light above 30,000 lux. It is a peak figure for bright outdoor conditions, not a typical brightness for indoor use.
Performance and memory
The Dimensity 7300 is a 4nm octa-core chip with four cores listed at 2.5GHz and four at 2.0GHz. vivo does not publish independent benchmark results in the material reviewed for this article, so treat the chip as a stated specification rather than a tested performance level.

The 8GB figure is the installed RAM, but the amount available to apps is smaller once the operating system and preinstalled software are loaded. vivo describes its extended RAM feature as software-based, which means it draws on storage rather than adding physical memory.
Battery and charging
vivo lists two battery capacities: 6500mAh as the typical figure and 6360mAh as the rated figure. Both are manufacturer-stated values, and the listing does not explain the difference between them. The phone charges at up to 44W with vivo’s FlashCharge system.
vivo also publishes battery-duration, charging-speed and smoothness figures based on its own laboratory conditions. Those numbers describe the test setup. Your own results will depend on usage, signal, temperature and settings, and vivo does not present them as guarantees.

The rear setup pairs a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a 2MP f/2.4 secondary camera. vivo’s listing does not describe the secondary sensor’s role in further detail. The front camera is an 8MP f/2.05 unit.

vivo’s product overview states that 4K video recording at 30fps is supported on the 6GB and 8GB editions. The official material does not give a 4K frame rate for other modes, so check the camera settings on the unit you receive if 4K recording matters to you.
Durability and the IP64 rating
The phone carries an IP64 rating for splash, water and dust resistance. vivo states this was tested under controlled conditions, and that the resistance can decline with use. It advises against charging the phone while it is wet, and it says that damage from liquid ingress is not covered by warranty. An IP64 rating is not a promise of permanent water resistance.

vivo’s product overview also says the phone passed five environmental tests under the MIL-STD-810H standard, covering heat, cold, rain, dust and shock. These results are vivo’s own claims. vivo notes that laboratory results are not a definite indicator of everyday durability and that actual results vary. No independent test of these claims is cited here.

The phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, USB 2.0 and OTG. It includes an infrared blaster and a gyroscope. NFC is not listed, so the official specification does not show NFC-based tap-to-pay or NFC pairing. Buyers who depend on NFC should confirm this on the product page before purchase.
The listed 5G bands cover n1, n3, n5, n8, n28B, n40, n77 and n78. Whether a given band works depends on the operator’s network in your area, so check local coverage before buying.

- Confirm the listing is the India vivo Y31 Pro 5G and that the storage variant matches the one you want.
- Check the seller, stock status and final checkout price at the time you buy, because the store figures above are dated.
- Compare the launch price with the current price only as a reference point, since the launch prices were announced in 2025.

Where the phone was launched for sale
vivo’s launch announcement named Flipkart, vivo India’s e-store and partner retail stores as sales channels. That tells you where the phone was offered at launch, not where it is sold today. Confirm the current seller and stock on the page where you plan to buy.

Readers often search for this phone alongside the vivo T4x. Those searches show what people are looking at, but they do not establish which phone is better. A fair comparison would look at current transaction prices, chipset performance, display type and refresh rate, battery and charging, camera capabilities, software support and verified availability for each model.
