The Creator Kit edition carries a premium of CNY 3,500 over the standard 16 GB/1 TB version. vivo’s specification page does not itemise what is in the kit here, so check the listing before assuming which accessories are included. Because satellite messaging is tied to 1 TB models, every 1 TB option listed above is the only route to that feature.

Optional accessories
vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra
vivo’s official pages and its European press release identify the Gen 2 Ultra extender as compatible with the X500 Pro Max, giving a 400 mm equivalent reach. The same release describes the standard Gen 2 extender as 200 mm equivalent, 96 mm long and 153 g. These are manufacturer-published specifications. Both extenders are optional, so confirm local bundles and availability before buying.
Snap Screen
According to vivo’s product overview, the Snap Screen is sold separately. It is a 3.92-inch touch display that previews and controls selected camera functions and lets you view your album, and it supports the X500 series. It ships with a magnetic protective case, and the phone itself needs a magnetic-compatible case for the attachment to work.

Release dates and availability
China

- Fit For vivo X500 Pro Max
发布会当天，vivo X500系列全渠道开启预售。X500和X500 Pro Max将于9月24日正式开售，售价分别为5499元起和6999元起。
In short: preorders opened at the event, and the X500 and X500 Pro Max went on sale on 24 September from CNY 5,499 and CNY 6,999 respectively (vivo launch announcement). The Gadgets 360 listing gives 21 September as the “launch” date, which appears to refer to the event rather than retail sales, so do not read it as the date you could buy one. vivo’s specification page itself lists only September 2026 as the launch month.
Europe
A vivo-issued press release dated 21 September announced a European launch event for the Pro models on 27 October 2026. Final European prices and configurations have not been established.
India
The 91mobiles listing says its details are based on China and rest-of-world launch information, and it reports no India launch news. Neither an Indian price nor a date has been confirmed. The Gadgets 360 and 91mobiles pages are useful as independent specification cross-checks but not as evidence of Indian availability.
Regional and feature limitations
- Satellite messaging: only 1 TB versions have it, and it requires carrier activation of BeiDou satellite service. Fees depend on the carrier. This is a China-market feature, so do not assume it will appear on other markets’ versions.
- Audio: vivo says the phone supports Bluetooth headsets and digital USB-C earphones but not analog USB-C headsets. A 3.5 mm analog headset needs a USB-C adapter with an internal DAC.
- Charging: 90 W wired and 40 W wireless are maximum supported figures, and vivo says real power varies with conditions.
How to compare it with another flagship
- Camera: compare sensor sizes, telephoto reach, stabilization and whether the rival has an equivalent extender accessory. Weigh vivo’s claimed numbers against independent tests once they exist.
- Display: compare pixel dimensions (3168 × 1440 here) and refresh-rate range (1–144 Hz), not marketing labels such as FHD+ or QHD+.
- Battery and charging: compare capacity alongside the wired and wireless wattage, using rated rather than typical capacity if both are given (7,800 mAh rated here).
- Memory tier: check RAM and storage, and whether satellite support depends on the storage size.
- Physical size: use the colour-specific thickness and weight.
- Local terms: price, warranty, network band compatibility and whether the phone is actually sold where you live.
The specifications on this page come from manufacturer and listing data. They are not the result of independent hands-on performance testing.
