What changes between the X300 and X300 FE?
Processor platforms
The standard X300 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, while the FE uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Those are the manufacturers’ listed chips; the specification pages alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, runs cooler, or sustains performance longer.

Display
Both phones have the same stated 6.31-inch size and 2640 × 1216 resolution. vivo lists adaptive refresh from 1 to 120Hz for the X300. Its FE page additionally gives 460 PPI and a 5000-nit local peak figure. A local peak-brightness specification is not the same as sustained full-screen brightness.

Camera hardware and reviewer context
The FE’s global listing gives a 50MP main camera, 50MP 3× telephoto, 8MP ultrawide and 50MP front camera. The X300’s global page highlights its 200MP main and 50MP ZEISS telephoto, but regional camera details should be checked before treating that as the complete array. Digital Camera World’s review judged the standard X300’s cameras more versatile and its video capabilities a step up; that is the reviewer’s assessment, not a result from a controlled comparison here. Battery and charging
vivo lists 6500mAh typical and 6350mAh rated capacity for the X300 FE. For the X300, the global listing is 6040mAh typical outside Europe, but 5360mAh typical in Austria and Hungary. Do not compare the FE against an unspecified X300 battery figure without first identifying the region. Both pages list 90W wired and 40W wireless charging; charging speed can vary with conditions, and vivo says FE charging is dynamically adjusted.

The official price examples available are not from the same country, so subtracting one from the other would not show a meaningful price difference.

Which phone makes more sense for you?
Choose the X300 if camera flexibility is the priority
The X300 is the stronger starting point if you value its listed 200MP main camera and want the standard model’s camera and video capabilities. Digital Camera World’s review specifically found its cameras more versatile and video stronger than the FE. Check the camera specifications for your region before purchase.
Choose the X300 FE if its battery listing and platform fit your priorities
The FE is worth considering if you prefer the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform and its 6500mAh typical battery listing. That capacity does not guarantee a particular runtime, and the final value depends on the price in your market.
Make the price decision locally
Use current offers for the same country and storage configuration rather than comparing a China price with an India price. A May 2026 Android Central review also described the FE’s value as dependent on the local price gap; its price examples are dated snapshots, not current universal prices. vivo says its ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with the X300 FE and sold separately. Do not assume it fits the standard X300: the cited compatibility statement is specific to the FE. Check local availability and compatibility details with vivo before purchasing the accessory.
