The vivo X300 has the smaller screen, the stronger camera list and the faster wired charging. The Moto g max 5G has the larger LCD and the bigger battery. Official prices for the two phones come from different countries, dates and configurations, so a price difference in yuan, rupees or reais cannot be calculated honestly. This article compares the listed specifications and explains what the price figures do and do not show.
Why there is no single price difference to quote
The vivo X300 official prices are published for China (in CNY) and India (in INR). The Moto g max official price found for this comparison is for Brazil (in BRL). Exchange rates, local taxes, retailer discounts and launch timing all differ between these markets, so subtracting one figure from another would produce a number that does not describe what a buyer pays anywhere. The price section below lists each figure with its market, date and configuration, and shows how to get a true same-market comparison.

Display and body
The X300 has the smaller and more compact panel. Its 6.31-inch AMOLED display at 2640 × 1216 is listed on both vivo’s China page and its India shop, and the China page gives a 1–120Hz range. The Moto g max’s 6.72-inch LCD is roughly half an inch larger and has a 2400 × 1080 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Buyers who value a bigger picture for video or reading will find the Moto g max’s screen format more generous. Buyers who want an AMOLED panel will find it only on the X300 in this comparison.

The X300’s China page lists 150.57 × 71.92 × 7.95 mm and 190g. Motorola’s cited page does not give the Moto g max’s dimensions or weight, so a size comparison in hand-feel terms cannot be made from these sources.
Chipset, memory and storage
vivo’s X300 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a flagship-tier chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The Moto g max uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a mid-range processor, with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM, RAM Boost and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The gap in chip class is real on paper. Benchmark scores and sustained performance were not measured for this article, so this comparison does not estimate how much faster either phone feels in daily use.
Battery and charging
The Moto g max carries the larger battery at 7000mAh, while the X300 is listed at 6040mAh typical and 5925mAh rated on vivo’s China page. A higher capacity does not automatically mean longer endurance, because the display, chipset and software all affect power draw. No battery-life test was run for either phone.
Charging is the X300’s clearest advantage on paper. vivo lists 90W wired charging, and its India listing names 90W FlashCharge. The China page also lists 40W wireless charging. Motorola lists 30W TurboPower for the Moto g max and does not state wireless charging in the cited page. Charging speeds depend on the cable, adapter and battery state, so the rated figures show maximum capability only.
Cameras
The X300 has three rear cameras: a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide, with a 50MP front camera. The Moto g max lists an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera alongside a primary camera, but its primary sensor resolution is not stated in the cited Motorola India page, and its front camera is 32MP. Megapixel counts alone do not show image quality, so this comparison does not rank the two phones’ photo results.
Software and updates
Motorola India lists Android 16 for the Moto g max and commits to two OS upgrades and three years of security maintenance releases. Neither vivo page cited for this comparison states the X300’s Android version or an update commitment. Buyers who care about support length should confirm the exact software promise for their region and purchase date before deciding.
Durability ratings and the Brazil variant
Motorola Brazil’s announcement lists MIL-STD-810H, Gorilla Glass 7i and IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings for the Moto g max. These are Brazil-market claims. Check the product documentation for your own market before assuming that every regional variant has the same ratings. No durability rating for the X300 is stated in the vivo sources used here.

The table lists each official figure with the market, configuration and date that the source provides. Rows are not comparable with one another.
| Phone | Market | Price shown | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| vivo X300 | China | CNY 4,399 launch price for 12GB+256GB | vivo launch announcement dated October 13, 2025; sale began in China October 17, 2025 |
| vivo X300 | China | CNY 4,599 (12GB+256GB) to CNY 6,299 (16GB+1TB) recommended price | vivo China product page; no publication date shown |
| vivo X300 | India | ₹93,999 for the selected 16GB+512GB variant | vivo India online shop; no date shown; listing prices change |
| moto g max 5G | Brazil | R$2,799 suggested price | Motorola Brazil announcement, 2026 |
| moto g max 5G | India | not stated | Motorola India product page lists no price in the cited material |
vivo’s China launch figures (CNY 4,399 to CNY 5,799 across five configurations) differ from the current China product page (CNY 4,599 to CNY 6,299). Treat the launch range as the 2025 launch price and the product-page range as the currently listed recommendation. Neither figure is a Brazilian or Indian price.
How to get a real price difference for your country
- Choose the country where you will buy, and note the exact storage and RAM configurations you want for each phone. The X300 starts at 12GB+256GB in China, but the India listing shown is 16GB+512GB, so match configurations before comparing.
- Check the official online store for each brand in that country, and record the price with the date and whether tax is included.
- Check at least one authorized retailer for each phone, and note any bank offers, exchange offers or trade-in terms that change the effective price.
- Confirm the warranty, network band support and software update promise listed for that country’s model, since regional variants can differ.
- Subtract only prices collected in the same country, on the same day, for the same configuration.
Which phone fits which buyer
Buyers who want the compact AMOLED flagship spec sheet
The X300 suits buyers who prioritize a 6.31-inch AMOLED display, the Dimensity 9500, the three-camera rear system and 90W wired charging. Those choices matter most if you care about camera hardware and fast top-ups, and you accept a smaller battery and no published software-update promise in the cited vivo pages.
Buyers who want a larger screen and a bigger battery
The Moto g max 5G suits buyers who want a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD, a 7000mAh battery, a published two-OS-upgrade and three-year security commitment, and the Brazil-listed durability ratings if they buy in that market. The trade-off is a mid-range chipset, 128GB storage and a slower 30W charging rating.
Buyers who must compare prices first
If your budget is the deciding factor, collect same-country prices using the steps above before comparing the phones further. The official figures in this article cannot settle which phone costs less where you live.
What this comparison does not establish
These comparisons rest on manufacturer-published specifications. No hands-on testing, benchmark run, camera test or battery-endurance test was performed for this article, and no independent review was used. Specifications, regional hardware, network bands, software support and prices can change, so verify them on the current official page for your market before purchase.
