The vivo X300 Pro combines high-wattage wired and wireless charging, a long published software-support window, IP68/IP69 ingress ratings, and current 5G and Wi‑Fi features. The details that matter most depend on your charger and cable, country, carrier, software channel, and how the phone has been handled. This FAQ explains the official limits and the practical caveats behind them.

How fast does the vivo X300 Pro charge?
With the equipment specified by vivo, the phone supports up to 90W wired charging. vivo India’s product information states that the maximum supported power applies “when paired with the original charger and data cable.” The global parameter page likewise lists 90W FlashCharge and describes the standard adapter as supporting up to 90W.

“Up to” is the critical wording. A wattage printed on a phone’s specification sheet is a peak capability under defined conditions, not a fixed rate maintained from empty to full. Charging power normally changes as the battery fills, and the phone can reduce power when temperature, battery condition or software protection requires it. vivo does not publish a universal full-charge time in the cited product information, so a guaranteed minutes-to-100-percent claim would be misleading.

What you need for the advertised wired speed
- Use the original vivo charger supplied for your market, or an adapter explicitly rated for the phone’s supported charging mode.
- Use the original data cable. vivo’s wording makes the cable part of the 90W condition, not an optional accessory.
- Connect the cable firmly and check for debris or moisture in the port before charging.
- Let the phone and charger operate in a moderate-temperature environment. Heat can trigger a lower rate.
Regional bundles can differ, so do not assume that a charger included with an imported handset is identical to one sold locally. Check the label and the regional product listing before buying a replacement.

Why is my X300 Pro charging slower than 90W?
A slower reading does not by itself indicate a fault. The 90W figure is a maximum tied to specified equipment and charging conditions. The most common explanations are below.
Non-original or lower-rated charger
A third-party adapter may deliver power, but not the charging mode, voltage profile or peak output the phone expects. A lower-rated adapter will charge more slowly by design. If you are troubleshooting, test with the original vivo adapter before replacing the phone or cable.
Incompatible, damaged or poor-quality cable
Because vivo explicitly includes the data cable in its 90W statement, swapping cables is a meaningful diagnostic step. Inspect both connectors for bent contacts, looseness or contamination, and retry with the original cable.
Temperature and charging protection
High ambient temperature, a warm phone, direct sunlight or heavy use while charging can cause the system to reduce power. Remove insulating cases temporarily, stop demanding apps and move the phone to a cooler, dry location. Do not cool it with ice or condensation.
Battery state and software controls
Charging power is not necessarily constant across the entire cycle. The phone may moderate power at a high state of charge or when battery-protection features are active. A software update, regional firmware build or charging setting can also change behavior. Restart the phone, install any available system update, and test again with the specified charger and cable.
When to seek service
If the phone remains unusually slow with the original equipment, a clean port and normal temperature, check the charger and cable on another compatible device if possible, then contact vivo support. Stop using equipment that becomes abnormally hot, smells burnt or shows physical damage.
Does the X300 Pro support wireless charging?
Yes. vivo says the X300 Pro can reach up to 40W when used with the vivo Vertical Wireless Charger 2. The accessory, alignment and operating conditions matter: the published figure is not a promise that every Qi-style pad will deliver 40W.

How to get the best wireless result
- Use the named compatible vivo charger rather than assuming a generic pad supports the same power level.
- Center the phone on the stand or pad so the charging coils align.
- Remove objects or cases that interfere with alignment or trap heat.
- Avoid charging in a hot location and do not place metal objects between the phone and charger.
- Expect the rate to vary with temperature, battery state, software and the charger’s own operating limits.
vivo’s published material does not provide a universal wireless full-charge time. Treat any time shown by a retailer or reviewer as a test result for that particular setup, not as an official guarantee.
How many Android updates will the vivo X300 Pro get?
The phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. vivo’s published policy promises five years of operating-system upgrades and seven years of security maintenance. Its security-support table lists Android 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 as future versions and shows security support through at least November 2032 globally.
Those are vivo’s stated support commitments, not a promise that every country receives each release on the same day. Carrier certification, regional firmware, regulatory requirements and staged rollouts can change timing. A handset purchased for one market may therefore receive updates on a different schedule from an otherwise identical imported model.
How to check for an update manually
- Open Settings.
- Select System update.
- Allow the phone to check for available software.
- If an update appears, review its size and release notes, then choose download and installation.
- Use Wi‑Fi where practical. vivo’s repair manual warns that updating over mobile data may incur charges.
- If offered, use the option to schedule installation automatically for a time when you will not need the phone.
Keep the battery sufficiently charged and avoid interrupting an installation. If an update is not yet listed, that can reflect staged availability rather than a missing entitlement.
Is the vivo X300 Pro waterproof?
Official regional pages list IP68 and IP69 for the X300 Pro. These are ingress-protection ratings established through defined laboratory tests; they are not the same as a promise that the phone is waterproof in every real-world situation.
The China product page describes testing under GB/T 4208-2017. The regional specifications do not turn that result into a blanket warranty against liquid damage, and no consumer-safe submersion routine is published in the supplied material.
Practical handling rules
- Keep the charging port dry before connecting a cable.
- Do not deliberately expose the phone to high-pressure jets, hot water, steam, pools, seawater or chemical liquids.
- Dry the exterior and allow the port to clear before charging if the phone gets wet.
- Remember that drops, twisting, normal wear and previous repairs can affect seals.
- Do not treat an IP rating as protection against damage caused by cracked glass, opened housings or unauthorized repairs.
If liquid enters the phone, power it down when possible, disconnect accessories and seek service advice. Avoid using heat guns, inserting objects into the port or repeatedly testing the phone in water.

Does the X300 Pro support Wi‑Fi 7 and 5G?
Yes. vivo’s global specification lists 5G, Wi‑Fi 6 and Wi‑Fi 7, along with 2×2 MIMO, MU‑MIMO, Wi‑Fi Display and dual-band operation. The listed bands include 2.4G/5G and 2.4G/6G modes.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Support on the specification sheet does not guarantee access to every network. vivo warns that actual functionality depends on carrier availability, infrastructure, applicable law and regulation, and the phone’s software version. A Wi‑Fi 7 router is also required to use Wi‑Fi 7 features; connecting the phone to an older router will use the capabilities both devices share.
Check compatibility before buying an imported model
- Confirm the exact 5G bands used by your carrier and country.
- Verify whether the regional model supports the SIM and eSIM options you need.
- Check local rules affecting Wi‑Fi channels and radio operation.
- Ask whether the seller provides a region-appropriate software channel and warranty.
- For wireless display, verify that your television or receiver supports the required standard.
These checks matter more than the words “Wi‑Fi 7” or “5G” alone. Two phones with the same model name can offer different practical connectivity when sold for different regions.
Why does battery capacity differ by region?
vivo Global lists a typical capacity of 6510mAh outside Europe and 5440mAh in Europe. The geographic qualification is part of the specification, so do not use one number as if it applied to every X300 Pro.
When comparing battery life or charging behavior, match the regional model, firmware, network conditions and charger. Capacity is only one factor: display settings, signal strength, camera use, background applications and temperature also affect endurance. A larger listed capacity does not establish a particular number of hours without a controlled test.

What to verify before purchasing or comparing the X300 Pro
- Charging package: establish whether the original 90W charger and cable are included in your market’s box.
- Wireless accessory: budget for the compatible vivo Vertical Wireless Charger 2 if 40W wireless charging is important to you.
- Support horizon: distinguish the five-year OS-upgrade policy from the seven-year security-maintenance policy, and check how your country receives releases.
- Durability expectations: treat IP68/IP69 as laboratory-tested ingress protection, not insurance against liquid damage.
- Regional battery: identify whether your model is the European 5440mAh variant or the 6510mAh typical-capacity variant listed for other regions.
- Network fit: match local 5G bands, SIM/eSIM availability and Wi‑Fi rules before importing.
Comparisons are fairest when they use the same assumptions: charger and cable included, wireless accessory required, support period and rollout geography, IP-rating caveats, battery variant and local band compatibility. Comparing headline wattage alone can produce the wrong conclusion.
