What is the price difference?
At the listed India prices, the X300 FE 12GB + 256GB at ₹89,999 is ₹51,000 more than the Galaxy A27 5G 8GB + 128GB at ₹38,999. This is a useful snapshot of the price gap, not a like-for-like comparison: the vivo listing has more RAM and twice the storage. The A27 buy page shows other configurations, and prices, offers and stock can change. Check the exact RAM/storage tier and current offer before buying.

The Samsung has the larger screen: its 16.91 cm full-rectangle measurement is about 6.7 inches, compared with the vivo’s 6.31 inches. Both manufacturers list 120 Hz refresh rates. The vivo has the higher stated resolution at 2640 × 1216, while Samsung specifies FHD+ at 1080 × 2340. vivo also lists 5000 nits local peak brightness; that is a local peak figure and should not be read as a directly comparable everyday brightness result.

How do their cameras differ?
The X300 FE has a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3× optical zoom, alongside a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. The A27 5G uses a 50MP OIS wide camera, 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro on the rear, plus a 12MP front camera. These hardware specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or video; no matched image-quality test is available here.
vivo says its ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with the X300 FE and must be purchased separately. The accessory is optional, not included as part of the phone specification.
Battery, charging and protection
vivo states a 6500 mAh typical battery capacity and 6350 mAh rated capacity, with up to 90W FlashCharge using the original charger and cable. Its overview also advertises 40W wireless FlashCharge. Samsung lists a 5000 mAh typical battery, up to 23 hours of video playback, and says the phone can reach 45% charge in 30 minutes. Those manufacturer figures use different measures and are not a matched endurance or charging test.
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings but cautions that water resistance is not permanent and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. An IP rating is not a guarantee that a phone is safe in every water situation.

Software support and expandable storage
Samsung’s India specifications list the Galaxy A27 5G security-update period through 31 July 2032. The reviewed vivo India pages do not give a directly comparable guaranteed security-support end date, so the available information does not establish which phone will receive support longer overall.
The A27 supports microSD cards up to 2TB according to its specification page. The vivo specification page lists no ROM expansion. Remember that the A27’s listed storage variants differ by page: its specification page shows 8GB + 128GB, while the buy page also presents 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options.
Which should you choose?
Choose the vivo X300 FE if
- You want the smaller, narrower and lighter handset on the listed dimensions.
- You value the higher stated display resolution, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, or dedicated 50MP 3× telephoto hardware.
- You prefer the larger stated battery capacity and faster listed wired charging.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G if
- You want the lower listed purchase price and a larger display.
- You need microSD expansion or want an explicitly stated security-update end date.
- You are shopping among the A27’s listed RAM and storage variants and can find one that fits your budget.
These are specification-based trade-offs rather than a tested winner. Manufacturer hardware figures alone cannot determine everyday speed, battery life or camera results.
