Performance: a major difference in listed processor tier
The X300 FE lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the C83 5G lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. Their stated process nodes are 3nm and 6nm, respectively. Those specifications place the phones in distinctly different hardware tiers on paper, but they do not establish a particular gaming frame rate, app-launch time or sustained-performance result. No comparable hands-on test is available here, so choose based on your workload and budget rather than treating processor labels as measured outcomes.
Display: larger screen or sharper AMOLED panel?
The C83 5G has the larger screen at 6.8 inches and the higher maximum refresh-rate specification at up to 144Hz. The X300 FE’s 6.31-inch AMOLED panel has a substantially higher listed resolution of 2640 × 1216, compared with the realme’s 1570 × 720 HD+ LCD. The practical choice is between more screen area and a higher stated refresh ceiling on the realme, versus AMOLED technology and considerably more pixel detail on the vivo. Refresh rate by itself does not establish overall display quality.
Cameras: more shooting options on the vivo
The X300 FE lists three rear camera roles: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, and an 8MP fixed-focus wide-angle camera. Its front camera is 50MP with autofocus. The C83 5G lists a 13MP autofocus main rear camera and a 5MP front camera. That makes the vivo’s camera hardware more versatile on paper, especially for telephoto and wide-angle framing; megapixel counts and camera quantity alone cannot establish image quality.

Battery and charging: capacity is not the same as endurance
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery for the C83 5G, 500mAh more than the X300 FE’s listed 6500mAh typical capacity. The vivo, however, lists 90W FlashCharge against the realme’s maximum 15W charging. vivo says its maximum charging capability depends on use of the original charger and cable and varies with usage conditions. Battery capacity figures alone do not show which phone lasts longer in comparable everyday use; no matched battery-life test is established here.
Durability, software and connectivity
Water and dust resistance
vivo lists IP68/IP69 protection and publishes test-condition notes, but also warns that resistance can diminish over time and advises against routine immersion. The rating should not be read as a promise that the phone is waterproof or that liquid damage is necessarily covered by warranty. The cited realme specification page does not state an equivalent IP rating, which is not the same as proof that the phone has no protection of any kind.
Software and networks
The vivo runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16; the realme runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. vivo lists 5G bands and dual-SIM/eSIM capabilities, while realme lists 5G bands. Supported features and actual network access depend on the carrier, regional variant and local deployment, so confirm compatibility with your operator before purchase.
